In the late 90s early 2000s that man was exactly right i remember walking into the truck dealership down town with 30k to buy a new pickup at 17years old lol making 70-100k for 4 months a year but that all ended in 01-02 we had to go scalloping after that to make the same money. Expenses keep climbing catches go down or stay the same.the more you go the more you loose🤷

Flash forward 2024, you couldn’t buy a license for a million and a boat that is competitive in today’s fishery is easily half a million give or take. We got all the lobster here now in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Maine due to warming sea temps to the South. They won’t stay here forever either. It’ll just be all of a sudden one season… they’re gone.
