I've been in a sexless marriage for 10 years, married for 12. He just stopped wanting it, comes up with excuses. I have tried talking to him about it, but he gets defensive. He has said that a good kiss is all he needs to be satisfied, well good for him, I need sex. My love language is intimacy, cuddling, holding hands, kisses. I get none of that. I stay because I love him, but I am tired of it.

I'm sorry, but that first woman seems so mean and cruel. Does she expect her husband to never try? Or to just accept that she doesn't want to? It doesn't take a genius to figure out WHY he's so mad and frustrated. And to tell him to go get it elsewhere? What message does she thinks that that is sending? Wow! Surprising to me how little people knew about hormonal issues back in the 90s. The first woman sounds like she has a low libido due to having children twice. She should’ve visited an OB/GYN or a doctor to see or find out if she has issues with libido. I’m not sure if they had that type of medical advancement in the 90s.

Tina makes me feel like she only got together physically with Johnny to have children. She doesn't seem to care about his feelings or needs, but one of the purposes of marriage is to take care of each other's needs & love each other. Tina should have either been honest with him from the beginning about her expectations & vision for her role in a marriage, or she should have just left him alone.

As a 35 year old woman with endometriosis and chronic fatigue, and some other physical issues, sex is just not happening anymore. It is unbelievably painful to even go to a gynecologist check up, I screamed my head off. Especially after my surgery. Sex is very painful. My husband and I adore each other, been married 16 years next month. But sex is maybe a once a year thing for us and very painful each time so, it's like a forgotten thought in our minds. Plus he has Dystonia, so that makes it even harder.

I can say this from my own experience.... When you dont have children yes sex can be constant but once children come in you get too tired, stressed, anxious ect... Sex will be the last thing on your mind. But with that said if intimacy has just completely stopped there is definitely an underlying problem in the relationship that is much bigger 😖 communication is key to any relationship.... Everything else comes in second.
