Narrowboats in thunderstorms can be dangerous. One of the few narrow boat holidays I've had, we got stuck looking for a mooring during a storm. As we where looking for one, our bow wave spooked a cow that was lying down at the waters edge. It ran off into the field where is was struck by lighting. It just stood there awards the steam rising of it. We moored a quickly as we could, and hid in our floating Faraday cage hoping everything would be fine.

Woolhampton in a day hire boat scarred me for life. And the big nightmare lock by the abc boat hire place. I’m not a fan of the k and a lol. I was a virgin boater at that point 3 yrs ago lol. 😂. Best wishes

The K&A must be one of the worse canals to winter on. The Taylors couldn't wiat to get off it in summer!
