One of the reasons I like your content is because you do show the real issues that you face while sailing around the world. I think some people just get cranky and post things that are how they feel in that moment. I can’t imagine they were talking about you guys. I’ve learned a lot watching your videos. I appreciate your perspective.

I watch probably a dozen sailing channels and, true to human nature, most want to show the good things about sailing and about sailing life. That's just human nature. I think anyone watching should realize there is a price to pay for paradise which is all the hard work, the not so good days and all that. You know better than us ! But anyway, nice video. All of you put in a lot of work doing the videos and editing the videos. I truly thank you for doing that and for sharing ! Yes, it will be a documentation of your travels but, you have taken many, many people along with you. Thank you again and keep making those smart sailing decisions ! Be safe.....

I watch around a dozen sailing channels, every one of them takes time to stress how hard the life can be, that the highs are very high, but the lows are extremely low. They also show a lot of the maintenance they need to preform to keep the boat sailing. Seems to me, those "high" times wouldn't be so high if the life was easy, what makes them so high is all the hard work you put in to reach those highs...Anytime you work hard for something, the reward feels ten times better....

Just a word of thanks & encouragement to you two. My wife & I our in our 50's and haven't been able to take a vacation since 2016. I was going to take her to Hawaii a few years ago for our 27th anniversary, then she was diagnosed with a liver disease and we had to cancel it. Your videos stir the spirit & allow for me to live vicariously through your adventures. I would so like to retire to make passages in that lifestyle, but her need for insurance makes it not doable. You have no idea how awesome it is to be able to watch your exploits and feel like I'm right there, triming the sails, reeling in a Mahi, fixing & working problems on the boat, and drinking coconut rum. Thank you so much for taking us along for the ride of a lifetime. P.S. if you want an amazing sundowner, put Pain Killada in the YT search & check out Distinguished Spirits version that mixes in cinnamon syrup (easy to make). You'll love it. Cheers!

Love watching your journey! Can't wait to be out there ourselves! We get fresh eggs from friends frequently. I understand the turning of the eggs, but I don't flip each egg in the carton. Rather, I flip the whole carton over. I've never had a problem picking it up as I can see it's upside down. It's so much easier for me, and I've never dropped a single egg. 😉
@SailingOneLife9 ай бұрын
A couple people have mentioned just turning over the entire egg carton, but I'm afraid they will crack if I do that because there is nothing on the top side of the carton to keep them from tumbling into each other. Maybe I'm being over protective of my eggies 😅🤣I'll try it and report back.

little secret I like to pass on. powdered eggs are not bad if you rehydrate them the night before. not bad omelets or scrambled eggs if you add cheese. also powdered milk isn't bad if you mix that up and let it sit for 24 hours in the fridge.

Thanks for the tip! We do carry powder eggs onboard although I typically only use them for baking. I'll try rehydrating the night before and testing the powder out as scrambled eggs!

Looked a little dicey entering that pass. Okay lets talk about this subject of being stuck in paradise. Yeah, I don't think I would use terms like stuck! More like fortunate. 😊

Hey John! Yes, we are extremely fortunate!

Guys, I learned this a long time ago, people see results, seldom do they see the effort.

You are right! Thank you! A good lesson to learn!

Are there sand flies on the beach where Gary attempted to kite? Or on any of those tranquil beaches?
@SailingOneLife9 ай бұрын
Thankfully we did not come across any sandflies in Maupiti but we have encountered them in other places - like the Marquesas and Mexico.

Going out the pass has to be harder because you are going with the current. Less steering when going with current
