One of the best things to do if you are getting refusals is lower your boxes, place them either on the ground , or just above ( maybe at Foot) off the ground, also use a a spring pole to get the marten off the ground after the catch, there are times during the season when marten refuse to come off the ground.

The don't like to climb after about 0 F or -18 C

I have seen it when at 20F they refuse to climb, so I gang set using different heights.

I have used a bunch of different makes and I think there are 3 different ones used on this show. It came down to battery usage and usable light. Some really bright ones are rechargeable which just doesn't work for me. 4 hrs use might take 8 hours to recharge. I have come down to the Energizer 300 HD. Lots of light and just 3 AAA batteries.

More so in my case I have to run a generator to charge. i only do that when i'm at the cabin and I'm never at the cabin with the genny running for 8 hours!

No, depending on temperature I relure every 3 weeks or so. I change lure on everything at that point.
