Some more really good shooting Josh. It's hard hunting what you do with the predators very thin on the ground. Excellent viewing I could watch what you do all day. Keep the content coming mate. Well done.

Thanks for the encouragement mate. Your not wrong. The shots are few and far between and a lot of work goes into it it but to get the results at the end makes it definitely worth while.

With your trailcam battery issue, I run an auxiliary 7AH type sealed lead acid battery via a home-made twin core wire & jack into the camera. Put some blutac around were the jack goes into the camera to seal it from ants & insects getting into it or it pulling out. I found the jack from a charger fitted my cameras & just extended the twin core lead, mark the spade connectors for the battery terminals so you don't get the polarity wrong. One of those aux. 7AH batteries will run a trailcam for months.

Yes I have thought about doing that but the cameras were only cheapies of ebay and are pretty much stuffed now anyway. So im thinking of investing in a few decent ones pretty soon

@@intothenight1993 I've been running Browning Dark ops for the last 10 years pretty much 24/7/365 days a year & only one has failed recently (motion sensor). I too got them from eBay but the U.S.A website. They have a good trigger range, range of features & take good photo's, as you've seen. I don't know if you've got good mobile reception but those cameras that send a photo to your phone might be handy on dogs if they do it in real time.

The Campark T300 trail cam is worth a look, fairly cheap at about $135 delivered. Has a small built-in solar panel on top and a rechargeable battery on board. Plus an alkaline backup. Had it 4 months over 2000 photos and videos, everytime I check it both batteries are still at 100%. Plus it has Bluetooth for checking pics and checking aiming and clearing memory card via your phone screen. Have since purchased a second one as well!

Bloody cats ,there should be rules that people should keep their cats in their own properties ,dogs are kept on owner’s property. kangaroo Island council now have rules you must keep pets on your own property. Keep up the fantastic work

@@intothenight1993 Canberra is moving towards total cat containment in all suburbs. There is push back from some cat owners in Canberra who believe it is cruel not to allow their cats to roam and hunt & kill as it is the cat's natural instinct to do so. Several cat re-homing business's are lobbying against the containment & cat free zones push as well as compulsory cat de-sexing.

Running the camera around the house/somewhere used a bit so it will get plenty of pics with a clock/date start & finish (or interim checks) will give an idea of what it is doing without having to travel to collect and check results. If it's flattening the batteries the fault will become expensive. Most current ones of any quality should fill up an 8gb card at least on any Alkalines. Some batteries are better value (& not necessarily the longer lasting, which can be expensive per photo, so only worth using on 6 monthly check ones etc).

Thats the problem. They are cheap ebay cameras that I've had for about 10 years and they are pretty much stuffed now anyway so I don't think I'll waste any more time and money on them. I'm going to invest in a few new good quality cameras soon. 👍

There os no wast. i just leave them in the paddock and the wedge tailed eagles etc come and feast on them and clean them up. It's Ironic really. Feed the native killers to the native birds.

@@jonhart6688 no unfortunately. If you are an accredited roo shooter you can take them into the box and get pretty good money for them I believe but have to be head shot. But I don't think they take them all the time. I don't have the time and money to get accredited for it.

These are feral cats that have been introduced to Australia and are the most destructive pest to our native birds and small mammals etc. They have caused many different species to become extinct. They are so bad that the government has even put a bounty on them to encourage more people to get out and shoot them. I'm just doing my part in protecting the small animals that actually belong here.

It kind of sounds like the situation I heard a while back of some states in America where they have a Python problem and the government was offering incentives to get rid of them because they were becoming a huge problem to the ecosystem.
