Beautiful Lynx. Thanks for the info. Be safe, and best of luck always. I like how you've differentiate your traps. Like you placed that skull there in another video, then you showed it again to recognize it's the same trap you had. You should make an intro with all the little critters running around the cabin. :D Cheers.

Thanks for upfronting that honesty Andrew. We have a lot of wolves in our area & I almost sharpened my skinning knife after a life below 0 or some such. I though naw & checked fur prices. A great program there Andrew & how else eh. I mean a person living in bush these days at least has to have some money & what better way do people think I wonder. Myself I no longer have to hunt bur pride myself that a lot of our food is land food & my kids know how to survive & even know some primitive skills as I kept that life real for them. I do hope you read my comments.

so what do you do with the corpses when youre done skinning them?
@ranchhorse10059 жыл бұрын
Have you tried setting some satellite snares off your lynx cubbies? A little bit of fencing around the edges and with three or so snares will pick up those cats, and foxes, that won't commit. Your cubbies work so well though, you don't seem to have any cats the don't commit. Great vids.

I wish i had that trapping program. I get what the auction says I get. lately, that really sucks .i'm really glad that trappersm such as yourself, have access to it. You need a winch or a rope-a-long. It might make your quad life easier. Googling rope-a-long might make you spend a little and safe you a huge hassle some time in the future.

@PolluxA9 жыл бұрын
$90 for marten is not bad, taking into consideration how easy it is to put up boxes along the same line you use when trapping lynx and wolverines. Does honey work as bait over there? Here in Norway I make tampons soaked in honey. I usually cut the top off a bottle and nail it to the inside of the marten box. Then I thread the tampon trough the opening and tighten the cork over the thread. This way it's protected from rain and shit. The weather here is shifting all the time. I don't know if it's any use over there. You should give it a try and see if it works.
@TheWildNorth9 жыл бұрын
+PolluxVarangir i have never heard of useing hony i will have to try it out sometime this winter
@PolluxA9 жыл бұрын
+TheWildNorth I usually mix some star anise with honey and heat it on the stove until it is liquid. Do not boil it. Use heather honey, the smell is intense in comparison to other types. When it is done it will look like this i46.tinypic.com/bi6zy9.jpg

couple mistakes on the fur price calendar bit. If a wolf sells for $200.00 you now get the bonus. Also if your beaver sells for less then $25.00 you do not get the bonus so you are only guaranteed $25.00 on beaver. Smalls probably won't sell for any thing. I now understand what you were talking about with that infection you got from that wolf. I got an infection skinning golu the other day. Man is that sore, I can't even chisel.
