Very nice Wolverine! One of them is on my bucket list before my career as a Trapper is over. Problem is that we don't really have them where I am. They do pass through occasionally however. Take care fellas.

Now that you ask, I would like to see you drag a good stinky bait behind sled from set to set. See if you pull in more catches. Enjoyed the video.

We do that with a old beaver carcass . Also chip bits off from time to time with a axe and leave them on the teail..

So is this state land your trapping? Is Alaska a state where you bid on blocks of land to trap.
@outdoorsalaska7 ай бұрын
Yes it is state land. No there is no bidding practice for trapping rights. It's a first come first serve. And hopefully anybody else that comes across has good ethics and don't try and take it from you. In the trapper association here we try and teach ethics.. before I started to trap this land I watched it for several years to make sure no one was trapping then when I started trapping it I was ready to pull off if anybody came and said it was there's. Now I have been there 5 years and not one sign of a another trapper.
