LayedBakDFR I’m there BABY!!!! Ithis song get me in the feels cause it reminds me of my kids dad. Hopsin is speaking the truth in this one. The person that’s on drugs hurt everyone around them. It’s heartbreaking to watch. I saw it all first hand. My ex died last July cause of drugs it broke my heart for my kids to watch them go through losing their dad. I told you I was coming! You gonna have to meet me face to face.....good luck lol #FireSquad

About 2 weeks ago I lost one of my oldest friends to a Heroin Overdose & this song hits different now... I know it’s about meth but an OD on hard drugs hurts regardless
@AutomaticDuck3004 жыл бұрын
That's fucked up bro, I'm sorry for your loss. Opiates are a bitch. But the most common reason for overdose is that they quit for a while, then they go back to it at the same level they were on when they were still using regularly. But the tolerance is now zero because of the long break from it, so their level when they were using regularly is now too much for them because their system isn't used to that level any more. It's a messed up situation.

My favorite part of this song has stayed constant since I first heard it in 2014. Throughout the song in the lead in to the chorus he says “Your momma always told you that drugs were bad”. But in the last lead in he says “ You really hurt me and THE REST OF YOUR FAMILY, WE always told you that drugs were bad” I love it more than anything else cuz with that line he transcends friendship and tells this nigga “you’re my family and I love you” It’s beyond powerful when you dig into it

I've listened to this track too many times to recall. It's remarkable how one day you pick up on some clever wordplay like "fucking with poison ivy" when it could mean his friend was shooting up with an actual "poison i.v." Hopsin for sure has a place on my personal best artists of all time list.

It's beautiful how well he sews his life and history and experiences into his music....It's sad AF and it's touching and will make you feel his pain because I've seen it happen to so many people these days and it's devastating what the people we grew up with and made hilarious memories and happy memories with will do to themselves later in life just to either feel something or to feel nothing at all. I love the message on this channel, "Self Love and Positivity". I am a disabled veteran and have a fucked up spine thanks to half a ton of metal 1/2 barrel kegs (all full) and I'll never be able to play with my son like I've wanted to...The accident happened back on 4/10/14 back when he was just 4 (he turned 5 two weeks later)....he's had to grow up watching me in constant agony and unable to move around like I used to. He doesn't really remember a time when I was 200 pounds of full muscle straight out of the USAF Special Operations system :'(. I was on so many pain killers after my first two surgeries, and I haven't taken or asked for anything since it was just being handed out like candy but to be fair I am/was/always will be in agony and the nerve pain alone is enough to floor a grown man who "thinks" they're invincible. Talk about something that hurts, get yourself some spinal injuries with permanent nerve damage and come talk to me after you feel it. Anyway, love the message of your channel, sorry for the story book I just wrote but I've been caught up in your videos every other night or so just listening and breaking shit down with ya. Keep being positive bro and mad respect for the grind! #WorldPeace

Really Late to this, but Stevie did a reaction today and in recommendations this popped up. Hopsin has always rapped about real life events in his life. He’s putting out messages through his raps. The only reason why many don’t know about him is because he talks real game and the prissies of today’s society can’t take realism so they ignore them and cater the fakes. Following for 6 years dudes crazy! I’ll mind 7 was my favourite in the album

This was basically a sequel to his song called “Chris Dolmeth” rapping about the same friend. I guess ‘ill Mind 6/Old Friend” talks about how he didn’t learn and he passed away because of it. Hopsin talks about real stuff most people would turned a blind eye for. That’s why he has a big following but will never be blown to a popular level. (If that makes any sense) but still, I love this guy. Most his shit are eye openers.

The eye contacts are a bit thing to understand among his songs, without his contacts in he rapping about his life and personal stuff. When he is wearing them, he is normally rapping for the sake of rapping. The contacts are purely to give a clear distinction between his personal raps and industry raps. Contacts=Industry music No Contacts=Personal/from the heart/factual music
