I still don’t know why people hated Limp Bizkit they are one of the best band in Nu-Metal ..Chocolate Star Fish was my album when I was in middle school
@TheSoberDoc_5 ай бұрын
He caused a riot at a Korn concert a long time ago, got a buncha people hurt and some almost killed.
@pavanbiliyar5 ай бұрын
Some of the hate was from rap fans and metal fans who didn't like the mixing of genres and didn't like nu metal or 90's alternative anyway. When Wes Borland left Limp Bizkit, others thought the band would fall out of the world. Wes came back, but it was like the clock arm passed, and the rapcore genre faded from mainstream.
@AddMan30015 ай бұрын
Chocolate Starfish is still amazing. Many hated the rap-rock genre, which ended up being done to death, others just hated Fred Durst. But the music was catchy as hell and really hit the spot if you were in that right age group.

I agree 100.....I Love the way they played Sanitarium at Metallics 25 year Reunion on MTV
@zachhenderson79825 ай бұрын
I think a lot of people at that time were more purists from either metal or rap scenes and nu metal like this combined the two. Also, I know that during that time, a lot of people (including myself) didn't like when a band they liked got too popular. Lost its "coolness." Also, Fred came off as super cocky and annoying. He did a lot of the "beef" stuff, like a lot of hip hop did at that time, but wasn't fully accepted by either rap or hip hop. Ironically, he had most of the biggest rappers of the time in his videos and featured in songs. Sometimes, people just hate because they hear others hate.

I know people don’t like Limp Bizkit and personally I was not a huge fan of much of their music but this song spoke to me and many people don’t like their cover of “Behind Blue Eyes” but I feel that it’s a rather good rendition especially since I have heard of some laughably bad covers. Edit to Add: I remember when this first dropped, people LOVED IT. I think what changed was because it did get overplayed. When Bill Paxton passed away (the man with the yellow coat who was supposed to be her father), it brought this video up again. Of course, the line of: “All I want to sniff your panty sm*ll” did kill it later. It can be incredibly creepy. And when they did “Behind Blue Eyes” for Gothika, people liked that song too. Well not fans of the original but still. And when the video dropped (was included in the DVD extras for Gothika) and Fred Durst got to kiss Halle Berry, people lost their absolute sh*t! Not because it was a white man kissing a black woman but because it was freaking Halle Berry!

This song didn’t age well, and some of the lyrics are kinda corny, but DAMN.. musically it goes HARD, always has. Mike Smith really brought it when Wes left, too bad they couldn’t just keep both of them once Wes came back. And Fred’s screaming went back to the early days with this song. One of the best screams ever when he really goes all in. As for the video concept, it’s one of their dopest videos and he was totally in character.
