So this song is about dealing with grief. He's talking about how he can't run away from loss, he has to deal with it. The entire album that this is from is about Mike dealing with loss and grief. Outstanding album, one of my favorites from 2018. This is one of my favorites, along with Promises I Can't Keep, Watching As I Fall, and the deluxe track Prove You Wrong.

Mike's Post Traumatic album is incredible. It's a very personal album he did after Chester's death and it's a window into his grieving as well as him trying to think about where his career may be going. Mike is essentially the mastermind behind Linkin Park but a lot of people cling to Chester at the forefront, so there is this whole aspect of 20 years of work suddenly coming to an end. It difficult/strange/saddening for any of us to imagine Linkin Park without Chester. The other members have explained how they would only go forward when and if it feels right. And even though Mike made these songs about all the things he was thinking or going through it's still very relatable. Can't hear You now, Hold It Together, Make it Up as I go are highlights. Brooding, though an instrumental makes you feel something. Mike is underrated, even within the larger Linkin Park fanbase.

What was amazing about his solo tour was that every night was a different set list. I saw the Orlando show, and then have been watching various other recordings on KZbin, and he has some songs he would usually play together, but order between the building blocks and which blocks he used changed every show. Insane to think about.
