SCP is arguably by far the most popular form of video game horror in history. With that being said, it’s no stranger that a handful of developers use that and alternate the game to make their own variant. But are they any good? Specifically the Mobile game based off of it. Well, let’s find out.

I've just had to accept that SCP:CB has largely eclipsed the wiki's brilliant writers in the public consciousness. I guess younger fans don't have the time or interest to read these often complicated and confusing sci-fi stories. The fanbase is somewhat split between people who casually consume SCP content on KZbin and people who read and write the stories. If you're one of the latter, I strongly recommend Qntm's "There is no Antiemetics Division" and Randomini's "The Cool War". Still my two favourite series on the site.

Nice video,but I feel like I should do one small correction tho, SCP Containment breach wasn't the first SCP thingy, and the movies and such aren't derived from it, the Game is amazing, but foundation's home is actually a website, where every SCP is cataloged, and you can actually write your own, it's a pretty cool site, and I recommend it to everyone, lots of creative stuff there. BTW at 6:28, the point of the acid is to stop it from regenerating, the SCP is impossible to kill, due to it's regenerating ability, so by containing it in acid, when the acide disolves it's skin and bones, they grow back, only to be disolved aain, to then grow back, etc etc, you get the point. So the acid is actually a pretty smart way to contain it.

I can answer why acid is needed in the "Six Eight Two" game. So SCP-682 is insanely powerful and if not it a confined state can destroy the Earth plus has an insane healing factor and can basically tank through anything, the acid is used to submerge SCP-682 in to keep him in a constant state of getting dissolved, healing, getting dissolved, healing and so on therefore making SCP-682 not a problem because he spends all his time healing.

For the chapter when you talked about “SCP 682” the reason you have to feel it’s room with acid is because the foundation has always been trying to kill 682. Why? I dislike the implication that everything started with Containment Breach. So, I'm going to take an excessive amount of copium in order to explain the truth about SCP. It all started with a 4chan post with a picture of an art sculpture, followed by a description of it's containment procedures and it's appearance and function; a statue that moves very quickly when you're not looking, and snaps your neck, creating pools of blood and feces when idle. This, of course, caught the attention of many like-minded people. These people started a Wikidot about this "SCP Foundation" and began writing (and using pictures that acted as the inspiration, but that they never quite had permission to use). The SCP Foundation quickly grew in concept, up to a thousand SCPs being made. This caught the attention of one man named Regalis (and maybe a couple of friends along the way) who proceeded to make SCP-087-B, a fun little horror game from the 2010's. When this succeeded, Regalis' interests in SCP slowly grew more, inspiring him to make SCP: Containment Breach. At around this time, figures like Markiplier started to gain traction, and with his early SCP videos came a huge flood of SCP fans, including myself as those videos were probably the first I'd watched of his, and what dragged me into the SCP fandom (and made me such an informed prick). _Then_ all the other horror games started up, like a small one I remember where SCP-173 was chasing you on an island or something, and don't get me started on "SCP-### Demonstration" games on Roblox... In conclusion, SCP Containment Breach is not where everything started, but it acted as a fulcrum for the popularity the Foundation received, and I'm proud I'm from that era of popularity.

Sournale before you make a video on SCP’s make sure you know about the wiki being the original source of SCP’s and not Containment breach. Also SCP 682 is contained in a bunch of acid because it is practically immortal and the acid came out of another SCP I forget the number for but it’s a coffee machine that produces any liquid so the foundation put “SCP 682 killer” into the machine and it produced the acid that damaged 682 but didn’t kill it so they keep the acid in its chamber so it is weakened constantly.

Originally 096 in Russian sector of SCP wiki is called "Скромник", which means "The Shy One", or "Shy-guy", it is really hard to translate properly without losing the idea, and yeah... for some reason on-line translator translate the original скромник into "modest man". Well I hope this will reach to you: I think the reason why they use Acid to contain SCP-682 is that... although it can consume matter to its own body, and although the acid receive similar fate, it also damage it enough to "maintain" the hard to kill reptile. So that while he may not die from the acid he can't regenerate from it either. I mean he does, but it also harm him. It both counterbalance. Hopefully this explanation was helpful, cause I don't know the full details. Xp

Actually a while back I found an actual mobile version, you had almost all scps of the pc version, graphics where pretty close to pc, unlike the one in the video
