I've changed my mind so many times on this story. From 100% hating on the airline to now well. On the bright side Connor was in a story for the guardian. On the not so You learned the hard way how not to travel with expensive gear. I again don't want to blame the boys and staff but the more we find out that this was likely not tamperproof sealed, not insured, not tagged. That basically NO precautions were taken with 50k equipment in what amounts to the entire trash taste set up the more I'm sorry but your partly at fault. People had been warning about how airline were slowly being overwhelmed for months before they flew, they saw the airport in disarray, Garnt even said he had a bad feeling. THIS WAS 50 THOUSAND DOLLAR IN EQUIPMENT. The boys and staff are not at fault for this but damn if they didn't act like the world is sunshine and rainbows while walking though shit and ash. Hope it works out but at the same time you guys really should not of had to learn this lesson like this.
@colette80222 жыл бұрын
The first time I heard they flew with $50K bags with UNINSURED gear without even throwing in an air tag or two, I held no sympathy for them. Who does that like really? Normal people throw air tags or the like into their bags for less. Trash Taste also should have known better with the amount of traveling they do by plane. If I'm being completely honest it almost seems like they just didn't care. Like $50K wasn't enough money to worry over to prepare ahead for this trip. It just rubs me the wrong way the amount they complain over this issue when they brought it upon themselves.

Standard insurance only covers up to 1500 per person. So unless they bought additional insurance, the airline will have to pay only a fraction. To be honest, if you travel with 50k of equipment in your airline baggage (notorious for losing and damaging stuff), you better insure that or you are an idiot.

the airline has been unprofessional as heck for not communicating with them, but people need to understand this is happening all over the world. it's a problem with understaffed airports all over the world and likely outside the airline's control. It's happening to every airline because the problem is airports dismissed staff for the pandemic and people either didn't want to come back or the airport didn't hire them back. and now the remaining staff is overworked and tired and traffic has shot pass pracademic levels because everyone wants to do the things they couldn't do the past 2 years.

This is why I’m super cautious every time I have to travel somewhere with my equipment (mine’s a lot simpler - photo camera and a portable mic). I don’t want to check it in because it could get stolen. If I carry it with me, I get questioned & checked a ton. My mom doesn’t get why I go through the trouble; this video explains perfectly why I’d rather be checked and proven innocent than checking in my stuff and losing them.
