If you ever put in bearings again, try freezing the bearing and heating up the case. A lot easier and you shouldn’t have to worry about putting it on at an angle or getting it fully seated
@bigjoe15875 жыл бұрын
you can actually freeze the bearings with a can of compressed air computer cleaner like "dust off" right at the work bench!👍👍

Using miss matched cases is a huge gamble. I tried it with a chainsaw, it didn’t go well. The problem didn’t start right away, but after it was used for a short while, it had a bearing squeal that wouldn’t go away! Stay with matched cases if you have them, IMHO!

@worpd_gamer2705 жыл бұрын
@@chrisc4427 It's a chinese knockoff 70cc that looks like it was used for parts, but the engine turned nicely. I've completely torn it apart, repainted the frame, got new electricals, currently have the motor completely apart now. Looks like the starter clutch gear has a broken tooth, so I've ordered a new one. I would normally not put time and effort into one of these chinese pit bikes, but it's a great learning opportunity for my kids to get into engines.

1. Float height. 2. Perform the accelerator pump adjustment (so that the spray just miss the slide plate) and install an O-ring on the AP cam screw. 3. Install a #40 leak jet. The bike had a Boyesen Quickshot IIRC so adjust that accordingly.

While true they do deserve some sponsorship probably in form of proper tools like torque wrench, sadly majority of the companies that are buying screen time from youtubers are ether scumbags or questionable at best, like World of warships is just p2w scam and dollar shave club is getting you signed to subscription of products you might not need or want.

These 4 strokes actually have a common problem of bogging, 5/10 Yamaha's I've seen bog as soon as you snap it wide open. Good luck jake and can't wait to see you and jen riding together
@MotoBuilds5 жыл бұрын
This is usually while its on the stand and you wack the throttle open with no load. When You're riding/racing this bog isnt an issue unless your carb is gummed up. However you can do the zip tie mod on the accelerator pump actuator and boom it goes away all together.

I have a 2004 yz450f. Very similar bikes. Mine was running like yours with s bog, and not ideling the greatest. Jake, get that carb and replace the orings in it's inner cavities. Take off float bowl, then the special screws out in the bottom of bowl, and see how the gaskets in there will be swelled up covering the air passage ways to the Venturi of the carb. There are Tiny tiny pin holes in there that need to be clear, and they can be commonly swelled up, and people only mess with the Jets and float needle, when truly there problem is deeper inside. You probably already know this info, but I thought I'd share. Now my bike runs like new! Also keep up the videos, I have loved them the past few years.

In cases of starting after such repair I usually squirt a little bit of gas under the spark plug so engine turns, it creates more vacuum than just kicking so it get there faster (vvery usefull for 2 strokes after repair so they dont get too worn by first starting). And I actually think that those marks on gear might be from factory machining and the smoother gears might be more worn. But that's only my guess. Best would be to measure them, also it isn't clear on the vid, if it's smoother on both side of gear teeth or not. Stay awesome :-)
