She recommended a local sake and it's the best I've ever drunk, very different to any sake I had tried before. Went perfectly with the meal.

Dude, when people say that. Ugh, so annoying. It's like, yeah. I have my own opinions about cultures other than mine. If they get offended, that's their issue, not mine. If somebody told me "Yeah, I hate Canadian summers." I'd be like "Yeah, fair enough." not "That's extremely offensive to my culture and people." Even if somebody did say something really rude about my country it's like, who cares? They don't need to live here. They're allowed to dislike it. Unus Annus honestly showed me how fast something can happen and just be gone the next day... I'm a sightseeing and food guy. When I go on holiday, I don't enjoy sitting around in my hotel room all day wasting around. I want to see things in this new location I am in. Try new foods, take photos, experience the culture etc. Who knows if I will ever be here again. If I want to read a book and be on the computer in my hotel room, then what's the point of travelling when you could just stay home??
