As a therapist this is so moving. To think that George Hodel's legacy affected Tamar and her children so horribly. It's just terrible. I am glad this generation can talk about it and get healing and freedom.

It's really impressive to hear her boys talk so maturely, intelligently, and with such equanimity about themselves and their mother. I'm happy for them.

I just finished "I am the night" Loved it. Now listening to these......Unbelievable. Fauna really did luck out living in Sparks NV in the geto - she was raised well and turned out well. As did her two girls.....Thanks GOD......I am addicted to hearing all the stories of all the siblings and family members.......

Sadly " I AM THE NIGHT" portrayed several situations that DID NOT occur. 😪 My sister, ironically, did indeed fair better we did...unlike Grandfather George never attacked her...( he did in fact drugged and attacked, stripped naked, and abused by him. It was hard for me see such distortion of her Real Story...which I feel did not support these of us that was damaged so badly by our mother Tamar & Greorge. Fortunately my sister never knew George...thank goodness. Sad, how her amazing life story became so twisted. 💔

No matter your background, your pain, you can always decide what your choice will be. Be mean or care for others. We can choose every single day, to do wrong or right. But some people are really insane. She should have been in a psychiatric facility. Not raising children. Children need to know that they can go to social workers. They're trained for this horrific cases. Glad they are grown up men with their act together, and they formed loving families. Love can save us. It's just not a simple statement. It's real.

Podcast playback speed is too fast, it's much more difficult to hear or understand.
