The mom or grandfather did not even know the kid left the house or where the kid was, or that the kid left the property after he was gone for an extended period of time and found near a road. Gender surgery, career criminals, border kids is butwhataboutism and irrelevant. 10 year old kids need parental consent to go off unsupervised on their own. Not sure why the kid wasn’t taught this in the first place. Now she wants a lawsuit 🎻

@@JimKelly-lz6ciis the father and mother together? Because it might actually be taken out of context, and she wasn’t spending time with the kid as required or the father requested certain restrictions for the child’s safety if they’re split. See if she isn’t actively spending time with the child for most of the time, she can get in trouble especially if she has full or half custody of a child. The father also has a right to require the kid is watched at all times and has adult supervision. Both parents must agree. Now I’m not exactly sure but I really feel like there is a good chance there is missing info here.

@they are different cause people are mad. Violent crime against kids was worse in the 70’s than now. When I was a kid in the 80’s not only were their fist fights after school in the parking lot almost ever far but the principal mister Dunn saw me getting pushed around by David Gargano who was 2 years older and far bigger but Dunn grabbed us and kicked us out the fire door and said “I’m gonna force you to stand up for yourself by making you face him alone.” There was WAY more violence in schools. My son wore a shirt to school that said the name of an mma gym on it and they called me to come to the school and take him home for promoting violence cause the wore “fight” was in the shirt. I just laughed which pissed them off. And as far as abduction of kids again it was far worse 40 years ago. In fact twice I had men that were obviously diddlers try to lure me somewhere and once in rhe hospital a male nurse put his hand down my Johnny trying to grab me junk. I pushed him away and cursed at him and he stopped. I told the doctor and he didn’t care. He said “well no harm done.” Kids today grow up in an artificial world.

Im from the Netherlands not the US, we have about the same standard of living but are way more densely populated but letting your 10 year old walk to the store by them selves is about as normal as it gets over here. as a matter of fact me and my sister used to ride our bicycle to school since we were 7 and 8, it teaches you to take care of yourselves and how to be responsible. Sidenote: I know that cycling to school in the US is not an option because our infrastructure is designed to intergrate cycling but you get the idea, if you hold your kids hand every step of the way they will never turn into adults.

Demand a town meeting, and whatever governance (town council, city manager, mayor, whatever) should have to answer for this. Who ordered it... and if it was a police decision, who made that call, and will they still have a job after this? Also... go around and get EVERY town official on record as to their stance on this. And make this a big issue in the next town election. Anyone who supports this kind of helicopter governance needs to be voted out of office.

I remember doing the same thing while staying at my grandma's house in Hawthorne, CA. Used to get up at 5am to wrap and band papers with friends who had their own bycycle routes. They're doing everything to make our kids think they're incapable of doing things for themselves. It's pathetic.

@@up0820we used to walk or ride our bikes to 7-11 in the early 80s to play video games, well before i was 10. I played baseball about mile away from my house from 8 years old and on. I walked and ride my bike there too. Sheltering your kids until the state's recommended age isn't the answer to anything. Parents should have the last word.

If children walking in the streets are dangerous, then perhaps law enforcement should focus on ensuring the streets are free from the crime that may result in citizens being preyed upon, while going about normal interactions. Easier to pursue the innocent, then expose their own incompetence by searching for a crime that doesn't exist. A good law enforcement officer protects the community by setting the example and upholding the Constitutional rights of the people which they swore to uphold and defend. There is a reason why many departments fill spots with anyone that has a pulse, maintains power through intimidation using the badge. Find the motivation by following the money.

I'm a 60-year-old man. When I was a kid, we wandered far and wide, having adventures and sometimes we were in a little danger, but that's life, and how a person learns independence. This arrest of a mom because her 11-year-old son was walking alone on their street is absolutely ridiculous and preposterous. Send those officers to the border!

Exactly. We were often in more than just a little danger. lol We just had to figure it out on our own. My son (11) walked downtown and the cops brought him home. He walked 3 blocks to get downtown. Which it isn't illegal. They said someone was concerned. He looked about as clueless as they did. The cop said " oh.. its dangerous out here.. you need to be careful.". I wanted to say " WTH do we pay you for?" This is insane. It depends on the child. Is the child capable enough to handle that situation. This is how WE teach our kids to be independant. This world doesn't want independance. They want people who are scared and only turn to them for security. This is why the US is as mucked up as it is now. BLACK LIVES MAGA!
