Hello Everyone! It's Tom and Paul! We're The Blokes From Stoke! Sharing our love of Disney, Universal, Theme Parks, Travel, Florida and Home.
Welcome to our Florida February 2023 Vlog series!
It's TRAVEL DAY! Let's take you over to Terminal Three at London Heathrow and check in for our flight to Tampa on Virgin's shiny new A330neo planes!
First we have a pit stop at the number one lounge where we do a little bit of plane spotting, then it's boarding for our flight! We'll show you some more of our Premium seats and a few of the features of these brand new planes. We'll also show you everything we have on board during the flight.
Once we touch down in to Tampa, we'll show you a little more of the terminal and also where you can get the rental cars from. The final leg of our journey is a drive up to Orland in our shiny Mustang. So get ready to take to the skies as we head to the sunshine state once again!

Thank you! If your don’t mind that extra little drive, it’s great! Alternatively you could always have a night in Tampa, then do Busch gardens the next day and drive to Orlando afterwards! Only negative from us is the distance to get to the car rentals! Not what you need after that long flight!

Great and fun vlog 🙂 I'll be going back in June to visit my friend who lives about a half hour drive from Tampa International. Unfortunately there are no direct flights from Amsterdam, so I'll have to travel via Atlanta, but I'm fine with that. My friend drives a Mustang, too, and the hood will likely be down when we drive back to his place. Of course, not having to pay for a hotel, I'll be there from June 14th until September 6th 🙂 Already thinking about the trip after that one, which should be from early December until the end of February 😁

We've been getting along quite well, which I guess is important when you're basically living with someone for close to 3 months 🙂 We won't be going to the Orlando area, but we are thinking about a visit to 'Busch Gardens' and, of course, the beaches 🙂 We might even drive up to Illinois to visit with his family again. We did so last Christmas and that was definitely a sobering experience. We went from 22C in Florida to -10C in Illinois 🥶

We used to use Tampax and love the size of the airport the only drag is the time it takes to get up-to Orlando on that nasty I4. My favourite bit of the vlog was Toms face reacting to the Penthouse comment ( must not react ) ❤😂

Travel days are so exciting!! We have never flown into tampa but it seems like a good option except for those car rental queues!!! The first couple of times we went to Florida we had a mustang and 4 cases and managed too. It just took a lot of optimism haha xx

Great vlog guys interesting to see Tampa airport the journey to the car hire is similar to landing at MCO at the new terminal with BA you have to get the train over to the old terminal for car hire. We always book car hire with Alamo and you can check in on line here so you just go straight to the cars when you arrive and do not have to wait at the check in desks but clearly you would have still had to wait as they were short of clean cars.

Thanks so much Rae! The car hire has been an issue a couple of times these last few trips (apart from Melbourne) but they were saying that it’s a shortage of cars too…. As we booked through Tom’s agency, it didn’t recognise the booking ref with Avis Preferred so we had to queue but for the price we paid, it was worth the sacrifice!!

Hi Matt! Thanks so much for coming along! Unfortunately the Bluetooth connection isn’t on all planes. This happened to be on the new NEO planes which have that function… you’ll probably need the good old plug-ins on the a350!

Hi guys love watching your videos, we Fly on the 8th April next Saturday 😮so your vlogs are really getting us in the mood, just a quick question regarding car hire, we went last year and paid to go through tolls travelling from Melbourne airport, have you used the tolls and is it true that you can use express lanes (sun pass) and get billed after or the charges are included in the car hire cost, thanks from an old Birches Head High Schooler 😜

Yep if you leave your card details with the desk then you’ll usually just get billed for whatever lanes you go through. It’s normally charged a few days after you get back.
