Travel day to Japan and Mount Fuji in Hakone vlog | October 2023 | Lisa Preece

Welcome to my first Japan vlog! My boyfriend Matt and I go from our home in London to Hakone, via 14-hour flight from Heathrow to Tokyo with British Airways. We caught the train to Odawara and then the bus into the mountains of Hakone. We stayed at a ryokan called Tsukinoya in a village called Miyanoshita on the mountain.
The highlight of the stay was using the Hakone Free Pass to go on the Hakone Ropeway, Hakone Cable Car, Pirate Ship, and walking to Hakone Shrine. Such a fun day. The highlight was seeing Mount Fuji on a perfectly clear day! It was amazing. I hope you enjoy the video. Leave a comment if you have any Japan questions and I'll do my best to help!

Wow 14 hours on a plane is a lot but what an adventure. Spider alley looked terrifying. The sight seeing boat looked so cool. I would love to see Mount Fuji 🗻 xx

Best of luck on your travels. I was so close to visiting Japan at one point myself. I had experience with modeling and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit East Asia. All the best!

To be super honest, the more we updated it, the more it felt like home and a bit too personal to share online. But I’m still thinking about what I’d like to share as we’ve done so much!! Just waiting for a new sofa and then I might do a living room before and after

you arrive at Narita Airport around 11pm JST? I will also be arriving late on my next trip and I don't know if there are still buses to take me to Tokyo Station or Haneda Airport because my flight the next day is at 6:55am to Hakodate

We got into Haneda, so I'm not sure, sorry! We generally found that Tokyo transport was only paused from around 1am-5am though, so hopefully you will be fine.
