My husband and I thought the same thing about both Cuenca and Quito airports were run way more smoothly than the US counterparts. We can’t wait to be back in March! We absolutely love Cuenca and are looking at moving there in a few years.

The airports are so immaculate and they are run more smoothly than anything I've been in in the states. We're excited for you. Safe travels. Hope to see you around

The back to America culture shock! We have lived overseas pretty much for the last 30 years, retired this month and will be back in Cuenca in November. Cant wait, always enjoy the videos!

I hear ya on the culture shock. It's always like a little slap in the face reminder. Crazy. How exciting, congratulations on the retirement. November is just around the corner. Safe travels.

It's good to see them again, they were already missed. They have the best and most beautiful in this world, the affection that dogs give us is not compared to anything in this world, I tell you this because I have two of 10 and 11 years old and they are babies.
@ericandsandy Жыл бұрын
They are the best. We totally agree. Wish he could be here with us but it wasn't a great idea for him to be in such a high elevation for his age and some other issues. But he's loving and living with his grandpa. Thanks for watching and have a beautiful day

Tks!!! Way back.....I flew 100k- 150,000 miles a year. United out of Denver. Premier. Flying was easy. I'm scared to death....fly w dog...3 giant suitcases, etc. All the new processes...procedures. the little exposure ( and pain) you give is helping my mental health :-)))

Did you guys have a little culture shock? I’m sure it was nice to see your dog, family and friends but coming back to the USA and all it’s issues is probably not fun. We can’t wait to get away from the US and start our sweet life in Cuenca. Clean air, wonderful people, beautiful architecture, great culture, affordability and pure love. I can’t get there soon enough. Loved this different video but miss the Cuenca ones.

YES on the culture shock... so so expensive. But my dad does live in a hallmark story town.. everyone there is so so nice. Which is very RARE. We did miss Cuenca... the LOVE.. exactly. Can't wait to see you get here.

No on the solar oven unless you're going to be living in the cajas. Everything here is propane.

OMG! You guys are from Post Falls. We live in Sandpoint, Idaho and are taking an exploratory trip to Ecuador in mid December. We plan to explore Cuence for a couple days, then head down to Vilcabamba. We also have the best dog ever and will leave him with family when we go to Ecuador.

Small world. I have friends in Sandpoint. It's such a beautiful area. Cuenca is so beautiful and there is soo much to do here. Always something going on. We love it. We miss our dog.. my dad said we couldn't take his grandson with us. He keeps him company...2 old men hanging out together ❤. So excited for your exploratory trip. Have a great time and if you see us walking around please stop and say hi 👋. Thanks for watching. Hope to see you soon.

No question that technology has made many in the first world to be simply lazy. Anyone who grew up without this technology can attest to this. That's certainly an enjoyable fact of living in Ecuador, people are still like we all used to be many years ago. LATAM is a great airline no question about that. We had Staffordshire Terrier's and can't agree more with the notion that there's no bad dogs, only bad owners. You can't beat the love of a dog. 😍

It was great seeing Buddy, bitter sweet at the same time. We miss him dearly, but we know he's in the best place for him. He's great for Sandy's dad and he really likes their new home in Idaho. Safe travels and enjoy the holiday season in Cuenca. All our best and have a great one 🙂❤😁

Está viviendo una gran vida con su abuelo. No fue una buena idea llevarlo a un lugar tan alto debido a su vejez y otros problemas médicos. Por eso elegimos la mejor opción para él y su calidad de vida.

Hey. Thanks for watching. This is a very hard question...I know a few expats that have bought for themselves but not as a rental. But know that if you buy something and you don't want it down the road you have to sell it...I've heard that sometimes it's hard to sell. In the long run it's up to you. Everyone has different opinions..we didn't want to buy. Thanks again for watching and have a wonderful day

Just so you know guys. Delta and Frontier outsource a lot of their agents, who work for peanuts and have no flight benefits and receive minimal training. American Airlines is steering towards that business model as well. We’re fighting for our livelihood and being replaced by technology and unqualified people who don’t care.
@ericandsandy Жыл бұрын
I totally understand.. one of my nieces is a flight attendant for Frontier. Thanks for watching and many blessings for this New Year.
