I haven't read all of the comments so I don't know if someone has pointed this out already, but I feel like you missed a crucial feature of the first duffle bag that may help you like it more. The zippered pocket on the back in the trolley sleeve is specifically for your passport/boarding documents. It keeps those items secure because it is a zippered pocket, and also that side of your luggage is up against your body while you are in line. Also, because that is the side that's facing you, that is the most convenient pocket for them to be in. Samantha Brown puts those zippered trolley sleeve pockets in most all of the personal item bags she sells on HSN. She calls them her "peace of mind pocket".

You are correct about the zipper area by the luggage slip side. My version of this bag also has on the other side a zipper area for my tablet with its slim case to fit so it doesn't go in the main compartment.

If there isn't a place for everything, everything ends up jumbled together in the same place). More importantly, it has ZERO structure to it. It flops all over like one of those inflatable wind dancers. It ends up making my wheeled carry-on fall over constantly.

For the first bag, simply add velcro to make the opening close so your passport won't fall out. Now you don't have to worry. You can either use iron on or the tape that already has adhesive on it.

I bought a Tumi 21” carry-on about 20 years ago and it has traveled around the world with me. I never check any bag when traveling & I can pack for 4 weeks in my Tumi. I have my carry-on and 1 personal item. I’m finding the Tumi is now too heavy for me to swing up in the overhead areas. I’m taking a 10 day trip to South America and just bought the American Tourister 4 Kix Expandable Softside Underseater with wheels. The size is 18” tall x 14” across x 8” wide and this is the only piece I’ll be taking for the 10 days. I’ll let you know how it works…as a senior citizen who doesn’t want to carry a backpack or over the shoulder bag

I have the first bag at 1:13 but has a zipper at the bottom to make it longer/bigger.The front has a zippered pocket that you can fold the whole bag into that pocket when not in use. Traveled with me for 6 wks in Italy and Love it!🥰

Few beach bags have a zipped top closure. I want the essential contents of my personal item secured (unlikely to fall out accidentally) when passing through X-ray machines at airport security and while stuffed under the seat while flying. ETA: Most beach bags lack a trolley sleeve, which is a dealbreaker for my airport bags.

I have the pink bag, I ordered from Amazon. I didn't think I'd like the pink, but it was less expensive than the other colors! I LOVE it. I can put my small crossbody inside of it to carry on the plane, (probably taking too much stuff) but I don't take the backpack on excursions. I love it and take it everywhere!

For the first bag: they have hook and loop tape (velcro) with adhesive on the back that you could put on inside the front pocket opening help make your passport a little more secure....you could even put a few hand stitches in the corner to secure it a little more,

Yes the color of the *topluxs* is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

I have traveled extensively to 9 countries, over 50,000 miles in airplanes. I purchased a Samsonite roller bag $90.00, that has a trolley sleeve, zips open wide to load and has two zippered pockets on the front. It has a water bottle pocket on one side and a zippered pocket on the other side. 7:09 7:09 It fits well under the seat. It rides my international size carry on. I carry toiletries, a days change of clothing and a night gown. Sometimes the airline forces you to gate check your carry on. I have everything I need in my under the seat bag. I pack a day bag inside my carry on. I took these two bags to Isreal for 14 days. I had plenty of clothes. The daybag sling worked out well for day trips. You can travel well without breaking the bank. HAPPY TRAILS!

Gak! That Brigs & Riley bag is AUD$702.32! You weren’t kidding when you said it was pricey. Personally, i always find having wheels on a small bag wastes a lot of space in the bag. All that framework takes up precious space where i could be fitting snacks & booze 😂 I chucked my wire frame backpack out. I loved it in theory but not in practice. The frame restricts the access too much, it drove me crazy! One day i’ll find the perfect one.

You missed a crucial point. The amount of space under the aisle seat is significantly different than the middle seat. On some planes I e found the window seat space in front of me was very small. I prefer the aisle seat.

Great video! I have a question about your most favorite backpack. The place where you would put your ID and credit cards , it doesn’t seem theft proof, even with the zipper and extra snaps. Thoughts? Is there a way to add a lock on that zipper?

Awww to travel in the US is the ability to travel with huge carry on and a larger personal item bag without worrying about the item being weighed and at times not even measured. You could get a dry bag from even IKEA now. It seals the wet items and keep them separate from the dried items. Also loading of laptops and tablets in the front of the bags means they topple over easily. Unless they have four wheels. Use that additional bag in checked luggage as a packing cube. Also a belt pack (bum bag) does not count as a personal item bag, but clothing. Use one of those for your passport, and place it on the belt just as you go through the body scanner. That way you can grab it quick as you get through. I have a small bag from Pantagonia for this, 1 liter size. If that bag had no pockets outside of it, I would love it. You are correct. I have never had my bag weighed or measured. However, my carry on does have to fit in the overhead bin and my personal item absolutely must fit under the seat in front of me. Outside of that - there aren't really any restrictions. Thank you for watching 😃😃😃

I fly monthly domestically in the US for work and I can tell you that the only bag that may fit under the seat is the last bag.

I understand. I have flown Southwest at least 30+ times in the last 2 years and have used each of these as my personal carry on. They do fit under the seat on SW- but I do not sit in an aisle seat. It's always the middle or window for me. For that reason I cannot say they all fit under the aisle seat - but they certainly do the middle and window. Thanks so much for being here with me ☺

Lori, is the strap/trolley sleeve with the Falanko bag stretchy? Ive found with other bags, that if they are full, it is hard to put the sleeve over the trolley handle.
