Nagoro is a village in the Iya Valley on the island of Shikoku in Tokushima Prefecture in Japan. It is known for the large number of realistic scarecrows positioned throughout the village, which have made it a tourist attraction.

This is actually kind of sad cause the people of that village leave. The woman's first scarecrow is actually same as it looks like her Dad and some people thought that its a person and then said "hello" ever since that day the woman makes more scare crows and put it around the village so it can be more lively.

I dont find this creepy at all it's endearing how she's trying to preserve memories and be reminded of people who may have passed on. Turning the corner into the classroom was bittersweet she tries to keep the shut-down school active with "kids"
