Thanks Rafael, Ive just moved to Bozen from Cape Town SA, and I am loving the area. The food, culture, architecture, Christmas markets, Krampust, snow all these new experiences are fantastic. The Cheesy Pretzel is on my to eat list. Thanks for the heads up.....

You are so good at this! I have all this footage, but have been so bad about inserting myself in the camera. You're a total natural! I need to take notes from you.

Thank you! glad you enjoyed ^_^ Haha it's still something I'm trying to figure out myself, the bigest problem is for sure getting the right balance... will be tweaking the "recipe" for a long time to come I'm sure haha

I don't hear a whole lot about Italian Christmas Markets, but I am totally going to put this on my bucket list now. I really like how you go into detail about the culture and why the different items and food items are so important
@RafaelDiFuria6 жыл бұрын
Thank you glad you liked it :) Italian markes are generally a it different, however similar in many ways... these markets here are quite unique to this part of Italy. The markets here are more actually similar to what you might find in Austria or Germany, however I've spoken with people from those areas which have told me even the markets here are quite different from what they're used to.

One would be less surprised with a keen knowledge in geography seeing the overlaps between nations in this case the proximity of Austria to Italy. Great vid btw.

Thank you and yes I would agree, although unfortunately most people don't learn about these small little pockets, especially not in the US school system

In the USA they think Italy is in the Middle-East and Austria in Scandinavia

Great video as always! I like this voice over format. Almost feels like a travel documentary. Giving me slight Attaché vibes. Just wondering...is there a reason you kept saying “einmal” and “zweimal” when you were saying “one” or “two” of something you were ordering? From my understanding of German this means “one time” and “two time.” Is this just the regional variety of German ?

Hey ther Najee, thanks for stopping by the video :) For learning Italian Alto Adige may not be the best part of the country, but it's a wonderful place to be regardless. But for sure the more you know before moving here the better. I actually mentioned exactly this in the video I just uploaded a few minutes ago kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIHXfYqMmshjgcU and also in a few other past videos including this one kzbin.info/www/bejne/f6a9cmOQgruInrc have a great weekend!

The beard is cool though! Would love to see the Christmas Markets. One of these years it will happen. Love how it looks at night all light up with fire lights and regular lights. Fruity flavored candy canes hmmm, which flavors?
@RafaelDiFuria6 жыл бұрын
Haha thank you, I'm constantly debating whether to keep it or not haha. I actually can't stand fruity candy canes haha I'm an old fashioned purist that believes they should only be peppermint haha But if I remember correctly, they had, cherry, apple, lemon, rasperry and maybe lemon and one or two other flavors

Hi Rafael, I'm sure you get this all the time but I love your baritone voice. It's so soothing. I had no idea that there was such a place in Italy where there is such a large German influence. I found that so interesting. Thanks for all the info! And I love cheese so that definitely sold me LOL. How do people not like the croissant/pretzel cheese baby?? That sounds AMAZING. I wish you taught a class on your editing/voice work :) -Peace
