Thank you so much. I would love to visit Arezzo next December. Thank you for taking us along. I am extremely busy with knitting a huge number of Norwegian Christmas baubles in red and creamy white Norwegian wool. It has taken me many months to get to the final stage of stuffing natural battens in the completed baubles and crocheting the loops. It is worth it! Next year's project will be a Norwegian knitted wreath to match the knitted baubles. Sigh.... so much work. Anyway, wishing you a Merry Christmas and a very Healthy and Happy New Year.

Hi I am newly subscribed to you . We want to go to Italy at end December and in January. Which is better , Puglia or Tuscany . We love churches and culture but not hectic crowds

Hi and welcome! In December and January there aren't crowds anywhere, and both regions are stunning! I'd suggest Tuscany as I'd be a bit concerned about humidity and wind in Puglia in winter. Besides, Puglia is a great summer destination thanks to all the stunning places that are located near the sea!

Do shops, restaurants etc open as normal on the 24- 26 December in Florence and other big cities in Italy ?

There are some restaurants that are open, but most shops are closed on the 25th and 26th!
