Didn’t we make it through Covid without tourism just saying 🤷🏼‍♂️. Same thing always being said we need tourism we have a housing shortage. Everything short accept the leaders running this state they ain’t short there pockets being loaded up with back door deals. Not our problem if tourist not getting to enjoy our home that’s your guys vision not a lot of ours

You people that say we don't need tourism really have no clue about how the economy works. You may not work in the tourism industry but those that do spend money in the community. Where do you work? Your customers, clients may come from the hotel industry. I don't support the strike because like this professor said room rates are already high so what happens when tourist stop coming, these guys will not have a job.Having said all of this Hawaii still needs tourists.

You probably have a ab&b if not a catamaran captain if not a charter fishing boat captain if not you have a shack on the side of the road selling something on the east or north shore. Real locals ain’t fooled by you trolls you re probably one of those that’s used aloha and mahalo but has no understanding of what it really means. You want to exploit something go back mainland and do it there. What needs to be done is internal fixing take care of the real local here than worry about tourism. How they can build everything for the tourist yet neglect the locals here please
