@@RetireandGo Not only that, it is a very green place, grass and vegetation everywhere, I can't think of another place like that, maybe Ireland but it has a colder and more oceanic climate. Uruguay has dark land unlike tropical countries and incredible beaches like "Atlantica" in Rocha surprised me and good Piriapolis and Punta del Este, I bought a duplex in the Center of Montevideo. I am very happy living here! exquisite gastronomy, the roasts and the dessert "chaja" mmmmmm

Also, I do understand the sentiment of the viewers you mention who feel that they cannot retire...and I do agree that they will have to radically reshape career, savings and spending realities. You and many other retirement vloggers have shown that it is possible to retire on SS money plus a little extra ( savings/investment, rentals, part time remote work, etc ). $1500 fixed SS payment plus $700 or so from other source(s). Gotta plan it out.

I agree it’s a doable feat, however, it’s going to be most likely for “single males.” I’m absolutely not discounting women in this quest. And, yes I also that the “goal” has to be strategized along with resiliency, self discipline, etc. to protect you from any surprises especially when it comes to your billfold😉, if you know what I mean. I have seen quite a bit of your vlogs, and they’re great (thank you for visiting the Philippines); I’ve noticed you’ve dined alone…I mean, without a date. I’m not saying that you must, and if it’s in you plan not to emotionally mingle, I get that, because it’s probably what I would do also to stay within my budget. Anyway, all in all, the ratio of men to follow your quest will probably be enough to give joy to them, however, in my subjective opinion…realistically, majority cannot do what you’re doing even they want too, for several reasons that we each can assume what they maybe… to each his own & each one has different story in their lives. So, there’s my 2 cents on this, and I hope you’re not slighted by it. Thanks for sharing your adventures, you make others see the world through your travels. God bless your way. ✌🏼🌎

@@RetireandGo Maybe the trend for retirees to live abroad (somewhere) will change, maybe not. One very important factor to consider: health care issue It would take quite a plan to transfer residence; especially the financial part of it. My take on what you’re doing is: exploring the world through your backpacking travels…which I think is great, and I believe what you’re doing here is showing people different places of possibilities…the cultural differences, climate, people, etc. Enjoy your travels.🌎
