Glad you got the EGR valve sorted, while its new I would suggest blocking and remapping it out if you need to, your van will be happier for it. As for the lights, I have heard of people pulling out bulbs for MOT's haha

this is why im travelling in a Vintage Campervan. Slow and cumbersome but easier to repair and parts are often cheaper too.

Good to see you guys back again. I don't usually comment but I spotted that your tyres are the ones I'm considering for my own van. Would your recommend in general? Have you noticed them helpful on rough or muddy surfaces?

We would definitely say they are better than the ones we had before and we have taken them on some rough roads and they have done the job. However, we haven't seen much improvement in helping us getting out of mud but that's probably because of the weigh of our van (it's 4 tonnes). What kind of van do you have?

@@ardview-vanlife I have a VW Crafter and like you guys, it's a battle to keep it under the mandated 3.5t. These tyres interest me because they have a bit of off-road ability, they're snow and ice rated and don't murder you at the fuel pumps (they say)! I think I'll be on regular roads most of the time but if on a campsite, it'd be nice to think they'd get you out of a muddy field or off wet grass?

Hey guys.... You've had a rough time of it with the van. Egr systems are best deleted. Unless you're doing lots of motorway miles they will cause problems. They oil up the intake and cause mega problems. If I were you I would look into fitting an Egr blanking kit for your particular engine. £30 £40 compared to a nightmare of disasters. They basically block the recirculation of manky dirty gases from going back into the intake and are simply burnt through the exhaust. Yes, it's not as eco friendly but you can counter that argument with the extra manufacturer of Egr, and various other parts which you need. Your engine will have more power, better mpg without it so swings and roundabouts. Try having the engine management light deleted. You may have fixed it but the ecu needs to be told that it's fixed. Get all your fault codes deleted and run it. You may find you don't have that fault any longer. Good luck with the rest of the van. They're all doable jobs. Think yourself lucky you haven't had to do any welding.... 😂😂😂 Hope to see you up there at some point this year. Really nice to see you and know that you're still committed

Hey, hope you are well 😁 We have considered blocking off the EGR. It was something my dad suggested. Fortunately we did manage to get the light out 😃 So it was defiantly the solenoid. Wish we knew that 2 months ago 🤣 We actually did have to do some welling we just didn't include it in the video. We got a guy to do it for us. Done a great job 😁 When are you going to be heading out west?

@@ardview-vanlife I'm glad your lights are gone. Were heading up there in August sometime but we're also going up to Harris. We've got some friends who have just moved from Strontian to Harris so we're venturing up there for a spell. Amy and myself will be up there over the winter at some point but we've got a very expensive year ahead so I'm working like a dog to pay for it all. The girl and myself are off to Ireland in June and whilst we're there we are going to see Rammstein...🤟🏻🤟🏻 Rock 'n' Roll Nick Cave later in the year My Amy is a very expensive pet... 😂😂😂 We will definitely see you at some point. I don’t want to state the obvious but do you have an OBD2 port reader and tried clearing the fault codes after the fixes?

Hi, yeah it was a OBD reader we where using 😊 We did have a auto election plug in another computer and it flagged up the same thing.
