🔔 ȘUNCUIUȘ
Șuncuiuș beach is located in the middle of nature, at the foot of the Pădurea Craiului mountains in the Apuseni Natural Park, on the middle course of the Crișul Repede river. Although it is a landscaped beach, due to its location and small size, it looks more like a wild beach. It is a great, unique location to spend your free time, relaxation is guaranteed thanks to the exceptional scenery and the small number of places available. Compared to a beach by the sea or another popular location, it is very quiet here, however the water can be quite cold given the fact that it is in the brains of the mountains.
In the area, you can also go rafting on the Crișul fast or via ferrata, there are several trails set up right next to the location, for all levels of experience.
Camping "La Rulote" is an ideal place to be close to nature. Located at the foot of the mountains, near the Crisului Repede Gorge, the campsite offers accommodation in caravans, but also space for tents.
The caravans are clean, connected to electricity, have a bathroom, and beds with clean linen.
In the yard there are sanitary groups with showers; common kitchen, fully equipped and equipped; in addition to the places for fire, grill, disk, cauldron or grill.
🔔 TRANSURSOAIA (DN1R) - THE BEST ROAD IN ROMANIA?
Transursoaia (DN1R) is one of the most spectacular roads in Romania. It starts from the town of Albac (Alba) and climbs to an altitude of 1,300 meters, then reaches Huedin (Cluj). For 80 kilometers, the narrow road, but wide enough to accommodate two cars, winds through the mountains, with steep climbs and slopes, with numerous curves, taking tourists through wonderful places.
Many compare it to Transalpina, from the point of view of the route's spectacularity, but on Transursoaia the landscapes are as if taken from fairy tales. Inaugurated on August 20, 2016, Transursoaia can be traveled in about an hour and 30 minutes and is an excellent tourist route that offers those who want to cross the area unforgettable landscapes. The whole area has developed a lot recently, especially after the route started to be known nationally and beyond.
🔔 GEAMĂNA VILLAGE
Once upon a time, at Geamăna, in the Apuseni mountains, there was a village. Now it is almost completely covered by waste from the Roşia Poieni copper mine. The locals were forced to move from one year to the next higher and higher from the hearth of the village, to escape the invasion of the wasteland, which in time covered their church, swallowed their cemetery.
The transformation of the area began in 1977, when Nicolae Ceauşescu decided to start copper mining at Roşia Poieni. At that time it was the largest in Europe. At the beginning, the inhabitants of the almost 400 houses probably imagined that they would get rich, but it wasn't quite like that. At the beginning of the 1980s, more than 300 families from Geamăna were expropriated by the Romanian state. The amounts received depended on the properties.
In 1986, when the tailings dumping began, more than 1,000 people lived here. Now, 20 souls still live in the cane houses, scattered along a few kilometers, around the lake where the tailings from the copper mine ends up.

Damm those roads are surprisingly in good condition. I have visited Transylvania a couple of times but the roads were always very bad. Now I am actually considering visiting more of Romania :) .

Belive me but the roads are getting better and better, they surprised me a lot. Of course I don't mind to have some gravel or off-roads considering the Transalp 750 that can handle them much easier. Greetings 👍

Nice video. Apuseni is my favoutite,lots of good roads. Only this toxic lake.is great shame that this can exist in natural parc. The church is in 2 years no more visible. I recomend the road from Gilau to Marisel and as acomondation Pensiunea Drumul Iancului. Been 2 times there and the owners are very nice people.
