What this video shows is the creme de la creme of Hickory. To give a fair view of the city as a whole, places like South Center Street should be shown. Overall, Hickory is a nice place to live, I've been here since 1970 except for some time in Raleigh. I've lived all along the foothills most of my life and this is the best of the places I've called home. I can't think of anywhere else I'd want to go. The surrounding countryside is the best part of all.

No it's not only for folks that lives in Moores Ferry. HOA is strick about trespassing there!

It's a beautiful area but I couldn't afford to live there-

It is a nice lake but you can;t step out of your boat anywherem it's not owned, crowded. And looks are decieving I wouldn't get the water on me. I had someone close and he told me tales of how nasty it is, sewage , run-off fertilizer run off from the highway and coming from the lakes above it also.
