Been to this campsite three times. It’s among my favourites. Wildlife was abundant every time. Best lion encounters ever

That is incredible, those animals passing near or through the campsite. we don't get anything like this in Australia, not on this scale. That elephant was awesome.

It's quite an experience, especially with all the night sounds. The lions roaring close by can be quite intimidating.

We found Botswana Footprints very efficient and good at getting us bookings and do all our Moremi bookings.

The restaurant is only for the tented camp which is run by SKL, which has been closed (re-opening in June)
@TravelGigolo Жыл бұрын
Okay, they didn't mention that the restaurant would only be for the tented camp 👍🏾

Hi, thank you very much for a great video, I really appreciate it. We are trying to book a place at this campsite but cannot find a site on which we can do this, wondering if you have any tips, car with tent. :-) Arnt

There is water at every campsite. You put ur hand through a pipe in that green concrete block and there is a tap in there..
@TravelGigolo Жыл бұрын
That's interesting, we didn't see that, only the small pipe. May we didn't look hard enough 🤷🏾♂️
@doti78 Жыл бұрын
Correct. Check the hole first though before putting your hand in 😂

When you say it is hot, what temperature are talking about?
@TravelGigolo Жыл бұрын
Temperatures were in the low 30's, so not that high. However, it was also very humid so it felt really hot.

What is generally the practice for tipping or not tipping those clearing ash etc? Not just in Botswana.
@TravelGigolo Жыл бұрын
Good question. I'm sure there's a large divergence of opinion on this. We will tip when we receive service or assistance that is really good, or if someone goes out of their way to help or something of that nature. The tips are a significant source of income for some people, so I'm happy to tip if it is deserved.

Quick questions: How busy were the campsites on this trip? Are they busier in the dry season? Or the same? Now that I'm typing the questions, I'm thinking you might not have that info. 🤔
@TravelGigolo Жыл бұрын
It was relatively quiet when we were there, about 50% occupied. Third bridge was full though. I expect that the campsites will be full in the dry season. There aren't many campsites. Very different to camping in SA national parks.
