That's what Ninjas did. Excluding me because we're forbidden to carry guns in my religion unless we're law enforcement, and I am not ready to go on a Ninja mission yet. When Europeans realized they could "outsource" slaves from Africa instead of Ireland that made things a whole lot cheaper, many people were not even accepting of an African's humanity at this point. Before this, the American-owned plantations were filled with Irish slaves. Makes things a whole lot easier when the salesman requires superior weapons technology that only you possess. It's not taking advantage of the African people's inferior technology - it was a trade, and many West African tribes were OK with selling prisoners of war into slavery in exchange for having better weapons technology. These groups likely did not see "all black people" as "their people". They were selling captives from a different tribe, just like how the Greek city states did, and how Romans sold slaves in the Latin domestic market from literally any neighboring area they could wage war in.
