It's still crazy to me to see all this interest from around the world for our club. When i was in school (waaay back in the early 90's) there were literaly 4 of us in the entire school that supported City. All the rest of the kids were United fans... Boy how things change 💙

I'm a Liverpool fan from the UK (this came up in my feed for some reason), it always amazes me that Americans are prepared to travel to come and watch premier league games. It shows a fantastic level of commitment to the club they support, hopefully you had a great time in the UK even if it was in Manchester.

Whilst I didn't come all the way from NZ to the UK to watch football, living in London I made sure (via friends who are big fans) to go see Arsenal play some Uefa cup games against AIK and Barcelona at (old) Wembley and also managed to get to Highbury once, for a game against Newcastle. Also the 1999 Rugby World Cup, 2000 Rugby League World Cup, Eng v Pakistan ODI (at Lords!) Cardiff Rugby Sevens, All Blacks v Wales Cardiff, v France Paris, some tennis at Wimbledon (Court 2 and below), USA v Scotland at Murrayfield, plus others that I've forgotten for now. Yeah, there's a bit to see in the UK if you like sport.

I'll bet right now...The tears will flow going over the bridge to the stadium as shown in the video, if that don't get you, walking out of the concourses to the seats and the sight of the grass and stadium unfolds...Breath taking. Been going since I was a kid in the early seventies when we played at Maine Road, which was special, very special, but the sight of the Etihad as you walk into the arena is something else. It’s a petty the ground was half empty against Southampton at the weekend. In history, city were club of around the same size as Tottenham, Villa, forest and Everton. As someone who's watched football long enough to have known the days where City at Maine Road were just the insignificant "other club" who shared locale with Fergie's United. I do still question despite the artificial success just why you'd choose that over the rich heritage which comes from Manchester's true club. For me, I just go with my feelings. I came from a family who don't watch football and I don't know where to watch the games. And when I do got a hold of watching football, I watched and follow my heart as to which club it connects with. And I have the obligation of at least getting the gist of City's history. Because let's be real, not even United fans know their own history they're bragging about. Someone overseas may connect with whichever club, and that's what the sport is about, it makes you feel things.

I feel sorry for you, travelling from the USA to watch city that are known for the dead atmosphere at the Etihad. You should have got on a tram to Oldham which is currently in the 5th tier league and currently the crowds of around six or seven thousand fans that don't stop singing for the whole ninety minutes. The Ettiadh is like a library compared to the atmosphere at Boundary Park.
