Great job and very educational. Always good to see some good equipment from someone that has obviously used whats inside. Gotta pick a movie night and watch more of your videos.

To waterproof the cloth around the see through cosmetics bag, use boot silicone spray or even clothing waterproof silicone spray. This stuff really works and keeps the zipper lubed as well. Thanks for the vid! I see you keep your vehicle clean and neat like I do. See! Great minds do think alike! Keep on keeping on! Rick

Excellent stuff, brother! Also, i love to see people being prepared, more people should be. I carry my Maxpedition Remora get home bag/day pack with me EVERYwhere i go. Some people think it's over kill to carry it everywhere, but I'm prepared. Tonight for example, my car broke down. Had my pack with me, fortunately i was close to home and had my cell phone. But my point is, it was raining, dark, and i had my pack with me with things in it to take care of myself and get me home safely.

gotta say you make some really great videos of preparations and ways to stay safe and i do like to use a lot of your ideas and reviews as guidelines for my own. Thank you for making these videos and I am looking forward to more.

PackRat!!! Well as in typical fashion you've created another top notch video. What's makes this one & all your other videos great isn't so much the "gear" that is featured, but the "why". I appreciate the response brother, take care.

Nice job on the kit. Looks like you have all the "must haves" covered. Much more that what you've got and you cross into the "nice to have" territory.

Excellent; you have most comprehensive car kit I have seen (other than my own). Maybe consider coins along with the bills which may be nice in case you find picky $ machines along the way. I also carry mainstay's water packets which are nice-they do not freeze in the winter and carried in the summer. Another thing I have is a lockable rubber-mate style container that has two wheels if you pull off the vehicle that can be dragged like a dolly cart (again wall-mart) if need to abandon the car.

great vid and kit....i will be using some of your ideas. From personal experience i would keep a tiny cheap portable AM/FM radio in the bag. About the size of a pack of cigs but probably your most important prep the first few hours of an event. Obviously your truck has one...but when you grab your pack and go...you will need the know the info....routes, c events etc..... also those lith AA are perfect for the radio...2 batts last me over a year in mine. i bought mine from CCom. hope it helped.

Great video! I carry a lighter too.. but I always get the clear ones so I can always check the fluid levels. I also keep mine in an old medicine bottle to keep it waterproof. I don't know if you keep one in your truck or not..but I ALWAYS make sure to carry a pair of nail clippers... a hangnail will drive me bonkers. lol Thanks for the vid. =D

backwoods223 "backwoods223 2 years ago -- very nice kit! I need to get one of these put together but i've just been putting it off. just hard to find a place for one in a single cab pickup. very little room behind the seat, and underneath has the mechanism for the seat adjustment. You've motivated me to get on it though. Surely I can find a way" If you haven't already found a way... here's a suggestion. Hang one or two haversacks or messenger bags from the head rest(s) on the seat. Usually there's some vertical space between the back of the seat & the back window. Shoe bags that hang on closet doors will work, but I like the mentioned bags better because the contents are covered. Found some large $5 messenger bags at a local thrift store that work well for this purpose. Shoulder straps can be adjusted to fit around the headrest supports and position bag at the best height. Velcro can be attached to the lower back side of bag & seat to keep bag from moving when truck is in motion. Yet, bag remains easy to grab & go, if the need arises. And, it stays out of sight. Especially when compared to hanging one from a gun rack, for example. If not else will fit, try one of the reusable grocery shopping bags, putting the handles over the head rest, if they'll fit. Quite a bit can be stashed in one of those, especially if you use a large, fairly flat/thin storage box to organize your gear to use the vertical space available. Hope this though is helpful. It's the way I've met the challenge in our bench seat pickup truck.

I would maybe include a good tarp to go with the bag and poncho it may seem like a redundancy but the bags rip on me in windy situations other than that ...... man you have it all great vid thanks for posting.... side note i live in such a crappy neighborhood that if i leave a bag in my car it would be gone in record time hahaha

a good add is some reflective tape to put on your cloths if you have to walk at night so you don't get hit.its better then a vest because there may be passangers with you.and then you can leave the glow sticks buy the car so it don't get hit.

Thanks for sharing. How far are you from home normally? My office is 7 miles from home but around 2 weeks out of the month, I travel and could be anywhere from 100-300 miles from home. I need to pack more stuff in my GHB but it still only weighs 20 lbs. Keep up the good work!
