Wonderful video! Exactly what I was looking for, we are taking this trip in July. Can you give an idea of how much time it took to get through baggage claim at FCO and down to the train station? I am thinking of buying our train tickets in advance and am trying to figure out a timeline. We would be taking the train from the airport into Rome and then the train from the central Rome station into Naples. Did it also take a lot of time to switch train once getting to the city center and getting the next train to Naples? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for sharing this guys! You are amazing! Me and my friends have been dreaming of visiting Naples. So grateful to get ideas and tips here! I always think that travels are made easier when you have the best travel gears and essentials too. The bento bag from Nomad Lane is my best carry-on bag for travels like this. Thought I'd share it with you guys too!

This is great, such a friendly and informative video! I disagree with Italy being land of the carb, yes there are staples, but the majority of home made food is plant based and delicious, hope you had the opportunity to try some of them :) also why did the train take 2 hours instead? Was it delayed or just misinformation?

HI...just wondering why you didn't take the Campania Express train from Naples to Sorrento? Thx.

Loved the great tips! I’m assuming you guys are from Dallas. We live in Carrollton. I especially liked the tip on taking the ferry from Naples to Sorrento. I’m trying to get prices for that but can’t seem to find any. This will be my first time to Italy and am looking forward to it! The weather next week looks like a cold vacation with highs in the 50’s and lows in the upper 30’s. 😮

Hi Ray! Yes, we are from Dallas, for now! More on that to come. We used the FerryHopper app to plan out and pay for Ferries before our trip. We have lots of blogs as well that could help you plan a great trip on andrewandkait.com Thank you for watching! 😊

Hey...thanks for sharing. I'll be heading to Italy solo at the end of Sept with a travel group, visiting Venice, Florence, Rome but visiting the Amalfi Coast and Positano on my own. I plan to catch the train from Rome to Naples and hire a private driver to meet me at Naples train station to take me into Positano. Watching many videos, they say there are a lot of scammers hanging around the train station in Naples. Did you guys encounter that and did you feel safe getting off the train and heading to your destination?
@AndrewandKait2 жыл бұрын
The private driver from Naples is the smartest route to go! Good choice. Inside the train station felt totally fine. Right outside of the train station honestly felt the same as in Florence or Rome. A little hectic and a very public area, but nothing too surprising. Just keep your eyes out and a good grasp on your things like always and stay in communication with your driver before you exit the train station and find them directly after exiting. We didn’t experience any scammers and walked around that area for about 20 mins while going from the Naples main station to the regional train station around the corner. We hope you have the best time in your travels! - Kait

How do you get to the fairy from Naples Train Station?

We suggest taxi or using the FreeNow app to get a rideshare to the Ferry port.

Hey Rocco! Thank you so much! The Amalfi coast is so beautiful. It’s challenging to get to so we recommend getting ahead on preparing for the ferry’s with the ferryhopper app it will really help. We were using the Sony Z-V1 and we now use the Sony A7c we love it. We have links in the description to most of our gear. Thanks for watching!

My wife and I will be traveling from Rome to Sorento. I’ve read many complaints about the Circumvesuviana train. We would have to wait 3 hours for the ferry and would have to reschedule meeting our AirBnb host. Is that train really so bad?
@AndrewandKait Жыл бұрын
We’d highly recommend taking the ferry if you can. The train was crazy crowded, very hot, mostly standing room only because of the crowds, and took an hour longer than projected. The ferry on the other hand was a relaxing ride and easy to navigate to and from! We’re visiting the area again this summer and won’t be taking the train this time.

Hi! Did you buy a travel health insurance before your trip? Have they checked it upon departure in Philly as part of trip requirement?
@AndrewandKait2 жыл бұрын
Hi! We've never purchased travel health insurance and we've never been asked about it! The only thing we had to prove was our vax cards and our valid passports. Travel health insurance isn't currently a requirement in Schengen areas of Europe if you're staying less than 90 days.

Nice vlog! I'm planning to travel to Italy at the end of Sept. Not sure if you mentioned this in the video but did you have to have a negative COVID test upon arrival to Italy? I'm so nervous about having one..lol. But I'm fully vaccinated.
@AndrewandKait2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! No, you don’t need a negative Covid test before traveling to Italy. As it stands now, you do need to show proof of vaccination for Covid. When entering back into the U.S, you will need to take a Covid test a day before departure. You can bring an online test kit with you, or schedule a test at a pharmacy. I imagine things will be different in September, but that’s what we did for this trip. Thanks for the question! Enjoy your trip to Italy. We will have new vlogs each week in Italy. We hope they will help you before your visit! 🇮🇹
