If you get taxis from 4th Floor (departures) it is cheaper because they don't pay airport fees when leaving. Sometimes can get a discount so they don't have an empty trip back to the city.

We take the taxi from BKK to Silom Road every year and it usually costs a little less than 300baht plus an airport fee plus the the highway tolls. I usually give them a tip.

Working at the airport is very hard. Carry 25kg luggage in the sun and heat, maybe you'll understand.

That doesn't justify the way he was handling the baggages, every work has its up and downs, and professional people are trained to do what they have to do, and I have seen in many airports how things are handled much better than this, so that not an excuse. Just because the conditions are harsh, you don't ruin others' properties or act without a manner with customers cause you're out of mood.
