My TSA letter:
Dear TSA agent,
This suitcase contains fragile handmade costume props and accessories. Please be extremely careful when handling and inspecting the contents of the luggage. There are countless hours, blood (literally) sweat and tears that have gone into its creation. To help aid in inspection, the costume is made of EVA foam (like yoga floor mats), worbla (a heat moldable thermoplastic), and fabric. All components of the costume are very fragile, if you could please be mindful of that when unpacking/inspecting/repacking, I would be forever grateful.
Please find a picture of what the costume and pieces look like next to this letter. The costume is very valuable to me, and I would be devastated if it was harmed in transit. Each piece is carefully wrapped and labeled in a certain way to protect it on its journey. I cannot say “please” enough when it comes to repacking the contents correctly as this will help them cross the country unharmed.
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter and being super careful with my costume creation!!
