Thanks for this! Traveling this weekend alone with my busy 10 month old for the first time, and I’m nervous! I’m still debating checking the stroller at the gate vs using a carrier. Are you glad you did it the way you did?

Ah! Yay! Youre going to do great! It really is preference. What would be easier on you? The pros of checking in at the gate is that you can have some free hands & could put your purse/bag on the stroller as well. So its a load off of you! but the pros of checking it at baggage claim is that you dont have to go through security or go wait for it to come out while everyone is deplaning (which isn't that bad)

Awesome! You're going to do great! I use the infantino! I have been using it ever since he was tiny! You can even strap them on your back- you can purchase it on amazon- but if also have seen them for so much less at baby resell stores

Can you do a copy of the birth certificate or does it have to be the original?

You can do a copy - they’ve accepted a picture on my phone of it & even a picture of a pediatrician appointment with his birthday on it. But just to be safe I now always take a copy of the birth certificate & I saved it as a picture in my phone too

Flying with our 6 mo to visit family and worried I won’t be able to get him to suck on anything during takeoff and landing, he’s never been a big paci lover. What do you do for Gates?

If that happens and the flight is not around Gates's normal feeding time I always try to do an early feed that morning and then push his feeding schedule to whatever time the flight is- usually I wouldn't do that but I worry about his ears! However I will say, he has ascended and descended without a Paci or a bottle and has done just fine! Maybe some babies are more sensitive than others but its kind of a trial and error.

Also the one time he didn't take his bottle or Paci I had two sweet older laters come up to me & say to put cotton in his ear next time. (Although he didn't cry or fuss I think they are just trying to help haha!) I haven't tried it before but it is also maybe worth a shot
