I love this :) When skeptics actually do their own fact checking. I think it's ok and even great to question everything. I do. I was even confused about the Israeli history when this all started. I didn't really know much. But I wanted to find out the truth and I like to research and find factual information to become informed. There are so many who just choose to believe things without any facts, knowledge or proof. So I just appreciate when individuals do the research and gain the knowledge to make educated decisions and not just listen to what they are told from mainstream media, etc. Even if we still disagree with something, at lease the disagreement can be made on facts.

I wouldn't be surprised if the sources of information on the web are all gradually changed to a new narrative that favors palestinians. After all, on the internet, the people who control information tend to be on the fringes of the left(which seems to be becoming the middle left nowadays). I still have old history books that talk about the creation of Israel and the conflict, so it's interesting seeing how the wording differs from online sources.

There was ethnic cleansing in Shimon Hatzadik. In 1948, the Jordanian army swept though Yudea and Shomron, killing or imprisoning any Jews they found. That is how it became a Muslim neighborhood. The people occupying that neighborhood were Jordanians, with Jordanian passports. When Israel liberated east Jerusalem, they allowed those occupying Jewish homes to remain, but only if they paid the owners a very nominal rent. Any tenant, who did not pay rent for over 20 years would be evicted. Only in Shimon Hatzadik is that a problem.

I think the Jordanian government made a mess there, promising people the ownership of homes they took under Jordanian occupation, yet never giving such documents to the "homeowners". They are often immediately slandered (often just one word like principally, liar, or Jew, ...), shouted at (screamed at) with personal insults in an effort to stifle exchange, which leads me to believe that many of these haters of Israel do not want genuine exchange. I have also noticed in trying to work out the truth myself that the most trustworthy sites on YT are also often the ones supporting the Israelis, because they backed up by verifiable facts and figures, reason and logic. This is why Oren's videos are so good, he says nothing that that isn't reinforced by facts, or history. While Romans gave the name to the region "Palaestina", the Romans did not create the name. The name comes from the people called "Philistines", which is פְּלִשְׁתִּים (Pəlīštīm) in Hebrew. Some Palestinians claim that while they are Arabs, they also claim that their ancestors mixed with Indigenous people living in the region. As you said, States like Syria and Jordan came out as a result of foreign meddling. Countries do not always represent different peoples. A refugee is a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster. You are right, there were many more Jews in Spain and Morocco and many other places all over the world, from which they emigrated due to persecution. By definition, they were refugees. Saying that they were not refugees and that they were "coming home" is a way of expressing religious/racial beliefs. If a person never lived in a country of his ancestors, and neither did his family for centuries -- him going to that country of their ancestors to escape persecution in the country where he was born and grew up -- he is not coming home, he a refugee. That's like saying when an African American moves to an African country, that he went back home. That's something that a racist would say. It is along the lines of "go back to where you came from". Considering that 700,000 Palestinians were forced to evacuate during the 1948 war, and Israel denied the UN's article 13(2) to them -- "The right to return: Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country" -- they are refugees.

I don’t disagree. Another interesting fact was that the Philistines were a population that were the original occupiers of Gaza. After Judea was dismantled by Babylon and most Hebrews were exiled, it was only then that the Philistines started occupying the land. But, The Hebrews kept. coming back after one leader or another deemed they deserved to be in their homeland. Honestly though, the whole land dispute and religious extremism and hatred and jealousy by these regimes is growing tiresome. To me, this is why Christ came…to spread the message to love thy neighbour and help others. He showed us that church isn’t a specific place, it’s where two or more are gathered -no matter where. He brought us the Holy Ghost so we didn’t have to bow down to a wall, or rock or Rabbi, Priest, or Prophet. We had direct connection with God anywhere we lived. He showed us that we are not better than others because of religion, culture, or colour of skin and so war by any side is an atrocity.

What you call thieves were rebels against Rome (just as Jesus was), and the Jews present at Rome's execution of Christ were supporters of the rebels. Of course, they would choose them. All others Jews would have been in temple; it was the morning of Passover. When Christ was apprehended in Gethsemane, Jews were at the Passover table. It was not the Pharisee (rabbis) who handed Jews to Rome; it was the Sadducee (who were in league with Rome because they feared that Rome would annihilate them) who attempted to illegally try him without the presence of the Pharisee, which was required. In fact, the Sadducee did not turn Christ over the night before execution because the disciples of a Pharisee rabbi told him what the Sadducee had done, and he interfered with the illegal trial. Therefore, the Sadducee turned Christ over the next morning. We have more current records than yours. You might be interested to know that there was no third temple. 1:35 When did Palestine exist? 1) Etymologically, "Palestine" is derived from the Hebrew word for "the land of the Philistines" - so Palestine existed in the approximate location of the Gaza strip prior to the purported exodus of the Hebrews from the land of Egypt. 2) Following the Bar Kochba Rebellion, the territory that had been formerly the Roman Province of Judea was renamed "Syria Palaestina", or Syria Palestine. That means Palestine existed as a Roman Province from 132 to 390 AD. 3) Under the Byzantine Empire, approximately the same area became a province with the name of Palaestina Prima, while the territory of Galilee and part of modern day Jordan was the province of Palaestina Secunda, and the Negev, southern parts of Jordan and parts of the Sinai peninsula were Palaestina Salutaris. This state of affairs existed from 395 to 636 AD. 4) During the Ottoman period, the Sanjuk of Jerusalem (and administrative district covering approximately the same territory) was referred to colloquially as "Palestine" in English and Arabic. The common use of the term 'Palestine" in this way is shown by comparing N-Grams for "Palestine", "Israel", and "Australia" from 1800 to 1917: books.google.com/ngrams/graph?content=Palestine%2CIsrael%2C+Australia&year_start=1800&year_end=1917&corpus=en-2019&smoothing=0 5) There was never an official administration of the region of Palestine called "The British Mandate". The official name was "The Mandate of Palestine", and it was only called the British Mandate colloquially (and I suspect, in retrospect). So from 1918 (the official date of the establishment of the mandate) until 1947, the official name of the territory between the Mediterranean and the Jordan was Palestine. (The very obvious reason for this was that the British held other mandates, including most notably, a Mandate for Iraq You claim to have an MA in Israeli History - yet you try to conceal facts that are devastating to your argument by the simple expedients of only discussing the name of independent territories; and by incorrectly naming the British Mandate. @@emilerose1424the reason why western liberals can't hear the truth about Palestinian refugees, and choose to accept that the truth- that the underdog is not always a noble and righteous victim- is because western liberals are almost universally trying to uphold a totally false self image that is full of internal contradictions and cognitive dissonance, and the truth undermines their own false senses of self. Western liberals, in reality, are almost always very stuck up, very elitist, children of privilege who desperately want to believe that somehow their privilege (which is entirely a product of their parents socioeconomic status), is justified by their superior moral and intellectual character. They think that feeling sorry for those with less privilege than them, redeems them and renders them worthy of their own elevated socioeconomic status (which is a product of inherited privilege, college degrees, and social connections). In order for that equation to work, the underprivileged must be kept in a state of perpetual victimhood; and liberals can never allow themselves to simply be thankful for the advantages their parents gave them (and that they are trying in turn to pass on to their children), and stop feeling guilty about it. Liberals CANNOT handle any discussion that even accidentally gestures in the direction of potentially noticing the coincidence that all of their policy solutions tend to perpetuate, rather than solve, the conditions of poverty and dependency that exist among the underprivileged. And they certainly can't handle it when anyone suggests that the answer is to allow underprivileged people more opportunity to better themselves because then they would have to acknowledge that our system is designed to protect and maintain privilege, not empower the underprivileged. They would have to acknowledge to themselves that they are just ordinary people- selfish, materialistic, and acquisitive- not at all morally superior, but simply privileged, and snobbish to boot. They would have to admit that they use their supposed advocacy of oppressed people as a way to boost their ego and feel superior, rather than ever supporting the policies that would ACTUALLY empower underprivileged people to BETTER themselves. Our current system works just fine- they enjoy the comforts that their privileged upbringing has afforded them, while they deceive themselves into believing that their elitism and snobbery are a product of their moral superiority- vis a vis their enlightened, bleeding heart liberal, virtue signalling, "left wing" political affiliation. What the Muslim world has done to Palestinian refugees- keep them in a perpetual state of wretchedness in a cynical attempt to make Israel look bad- is very similar to how the democratic party in every major American city has kept communities of color in a state of chronic dependency through misguided public welfare policies in order to maintain the political loyalty of those groups, while bolstering the egos of the white elitist snobs whose privilege is carefully guarded by a system that makes it ever harder to enter the middle class without being born into it.

I watched a documentary about a Palestinian girl who applied herself wholeheartedly to become the top of her class & make it into med school. Part of why she was able to do this was because she enrolled herself in a Christian School available in her area & made use of every opportunity/ financial aid/etc. Her reason for chosing me medicine, she said, was because it was one of the few career fields in the region where discrimination wasn't as bad & so might afford her an opportunity for good pay/employment. She did not come across as bitter...just realistic. She wasn't playing the victim card nor did she seem prejudiced. I think her struggle was real. I am a Christian, so Im for Israel ...but I have zero doubt that there are innocent civilians (on both sides) who have struggled. Blanket statements about the character of a whole group are, by their very nature, ignorant. It was the same mentality that fueled the horrors of the holocaust. And before anyone makes a point of how others in the same situation as that girl could have taken advantage of the same opportunities... not all of us have the makings of a doctor. @@igori4714 To that I would ask why Israel supported and bolstered Hamas. My understanding is that it was done so that they would not have to deal with the more moderate/reasonable Palestinian factions. I'd also ask why there is so much oppression, mass incarceration, and civilian death in the West Bank where there is no Hamas. And then I'd ask if we find that degree of oppression acceptable. You won't get anywhere with these kinds of people using facts and reason. They attach magical significance to identifying as an ethnic group. People cant just be people and if you're not a special distinct subgroup the argument is apparently that you can be killed, tortured, and brutalized for fun over the course of almost a century. The fact of the matter is that Jewish people built up a larger presence in a region that their religion originated in but where the population had shifted to Islam a millennia ago. The Palestinians are, in fact, semitic people and a good chunk of them descendants of ancient Jews (people move). European Jews had no claim to the region whatsoever by the 20th century. But what is important is they are there now and were there prior to the Jewish immigration. Israel should never have existed in its present form in much the same way the United States (I'm an American myself), Australia, or South Africa shouldn't exist in their present forms. But they are all fait accompli at this point. There is no going back. To move the needle, the US needs to stop propping up the Israeli economy and military. UN peacekeepers need to be introduced to the region to secure the peace and remove Israeli settlers from occupied territory. Israel needs to be made responsible for reparations to the Palestinians for their various waves of ethnic cleansing and expropriation dating back to the founding of Israel. The focus then shifts to dismantling Hamas/IPJ and establishing a real civil government/infrastructure/economy for the Palestinians. The hate on both sides isn't going anywhere (and its hardly unique. Look at the former Yugoslavia, look at North Africa, look at Myanmar, etc. The list is endless.) but they have to learn to coexist. But what should happen is far ftom simple. The Israelis will threaten nuclear war over such measures. The Christians who want to cause the endtimes and kill all Jews but the 100,000 they think will convert to Christianity will make it hard to get the US to cut off support. And fighting terrorists is far harder than saying it especially if they have popular support from a population thay has been brutalized. Not supporting propoganda from a theocratic ethno-fascist like in this video is a small but necessary component.

few days ago I sat in a cafe in Berlin Germany. on the other table sit a group of Arabs that identified themselves as Palestinian. You should know that a lot so called Palestinian refugees in Germany are coming in the 80ies to Germany from Lebanon. It sound weird but those people came from Lebanon and living in Germany and still consider themselves as refugees. One of the biggest problems is that the UNO allow to pass on the refugee status from one generation to another but all other refugees in the world who are not Palestinians can´t do the same. Their status ends in the moment they reach a safe country. However, I enjoyed my coffee and listened what they talked. Half of the conversation was lead in Arabic that I don´t understand and the other half in German. One of the men said that his mother is a Syrian and he is proud of it. They talked about the Situation in Syria. Another said he wish he could retake his grandfather property in Syria but impossible due to the political situation. Like 50 or 60 % of the inhabitants in Gaza are from Egypt the rest of the so called Palestinians are mostly from Syria. Their grandfathers and grandmothers were immigrants which looked for work in the British Mandate and settled in the 30ies and 40ies in this area. Many Palestinian names are showing their real roots. El-Masri as a family name means the Egyptian. Al-Baghdadi family has its roots in todays Iraq. The Yamanis are coming from Yemen. Al-Turki family has its connection to the former Turks. The Husseinis or Al-Husseyn are from the Arab Peninsual and so on and so on. Of course there are also Arab families that have a long history and settled long time ago in the so called Holy Land. They came mostly with the Arab Invaders but the majority is not really deep rooted in the land. Mark Twain and other famous travelers to the Holy Land described the piece of land as wasted and in horrible condition with a small shrinking population (he traveled in a time when it was under Turkish rule). Some Bedouins and Jews lived there. No one really wanted to live there. It changed with the immigration of Jews and the rule under the British. Both, the Brits and the Jews created workplaces. They founded factories, farms and other Industries to work. Then the Arabs around started to migrate to the British Mandate to find work. That are things that many don´t know. By the way, the Census of Jerusalem from the British Embassy in 1864 shows a population of estimate 60% Jewish. 25% Muslim and 15% Christians. The British consul in Jerusalem report to the House of Commons in 1874 a population of 10.000 Jews, 5500 Christians and 5000 Muslims. An older census of the French diplomat César Famin shows for Jerusalem in 1853: 8,000 Jews, 4,000 Muslims and 3,490 Christians. Another one is from the Prussian consul Ernst-Gustav Schultz in the year 1844. It shows a Jewish population of 7,120 people, 5,000 Muslims and 3,390 Christians. The offical Ottoman census from 1905 included only Ottoman citizens: 13,300 Jews, 11,000 Muslims and 8,100 Christians. All this numbers shows us that there was ever a Jewish presence in the Holy Land and that Jews were in some times the majority in Jerusalem.

@@coffeee557 Do you know from where the term "Palestinian" comes from? Let me introduce you the origins. There are two explanations for this word. First you should know that this term was not mentioned in the old testament, nor in the new testament. It is also not mentioned in the Koran. Some will say, wait,but what is with the so called biblical Philister? The biblical Philister are not related with the so called Palestinians. The term Palestinians is not mentioned in any holy scripture. The only bible version that use the name Palestina is the King James Bible. There was never a Palestinian Arab independent country. Can you tell me who was the King or President of a Palestinian independent land before Arafat? Right, there was no country before. Go to Museums worldwide and you find Jewish history. Go to Ramallah Museum and you find nothing. The Philister was a sea nation that came from the Aegean Sea and was related to the Greeks. They settled between Gaza and Ashdod and they have no connections to the Arabs, which have their origins in the Arab Peninsula. Thats a fact. So any connection between the ancient (Greek) Philister and the modern (Arab) Palestinians is fabricated and nonsense. And if there was any connection (which is not) then the only place that the Arab could demand as their "homeland" would be only the shores between Gaza and Ashdod. So let us go a little bit deeper. The origin of the Word Palestina. There are two explanations that are scientifical proved. Let start with the first one: The origin of the word Palestine comes from the Greek word παλαιστής = palaistís = wrestler. This description for the Holy Land was used the first time by the famous Greek historian Herodotus 484 - c. 425 BC. Herodotus used this name for Israel. Why? Ok, lets go deeper... Why would Herodotus basically name this place “Land of Wrestlers” ? Because the Jews named their own land "Land who Wrestled with God"......Wait you will say. What are you talking about???. But let me explain how Herodotus translated the Hebrew word "Israel" one to one into Greek. Genesis 32:24 & 28 So Jacob was left alone, and a man WRESTLED [אָבַק - wrestle. Related to the word that means fine powdery dust - אָבָק] with him till daybreak ..Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob [עִקְּבֵי heel, figuratively supplanter. see Gen 3:15], but ISRAEL, because you have struggled [שָׂרָה - contend, persist] with God and with humans and have prevailed.” ISRAEL means "who WRESTLED with God" Herodotus translated this decription of the Land of Israel into the Greek word Παλαιστίνῃ which means Land of Wrestlers. But why he not used a more precise description to translate Israel into Greek like "Land of the Wrestlers who wrestled with God" ???? You have to understand that Herodotus was part of the hellenistic culture and the ancient Greek religion. They had a lot of different Gods. So with which God the Jews wrestled? It was not an Greek God. it would make no sense to mention a God that was not part of the Greek Gods. It only would confuse the Greeks. So he only translated it into "The land of the wrestlers". Let us see the second explaination for the Word Palestine. like I mentioned before, the Philisters settled between Gaza and Ashdod and was a foreign nation that came from the shores of the Aegean Sea. This part of land was populated by this sea people that where named by the Israelites "Paleshet"!!! .... The English term Philistine comes from Old French Philistin; from Classical Latin Philistinus; from Late Greek Philistinoi; ultimately from Hebrew Pəlištî (פלשתי; plural Pəlištîm, פלשתים), meaning 'person of Pəlešet (פלשת)'. But what means Paleshet in Hebrew??? The root verb of the name is ‘pa•lash,’ which means ‘invader,’ intruder’. So the Israelites called this Aegean sea nation "Intruder/Invader". I am not sure if the Arabs who using this term Palestinians really like to be called Invaders but thats what it means. In both cases the name is showing a. that the word Palestine is the greek translation of the core root of the word "Israel" or b. it is naming the so called Palestinians (who are not related to the ancient Philister) "INTRUDER". Intruder is not a bad description for our times too, if you understand that the Arab population is natively from the Arab Peninsula and conquered the Middle East and destroyed and occupied not only the Holy Land but the lands of many nations. Who remembers the Chaldeans? Who are the native inhabitants of Iraq and who are today a persecuted minority in their own land. Who are remembering the Assyrians/Arameans who are the native people of the region Syria and Lebanon and who are today a persecuted minority. Who are talking about the Copts in Egypt who are the real descendants of the former Egyptian population and are persecuted by the Muslim Arabs today. Who is talking about the Berbers in Marocco? Should I go further? Who is talking about the Maronites in Lebanon which is today a minority and which was the majority in Lebanon. I can recall a lot of nations that were occupied and destroyed by Arab intruders and conquerors. The Arab are the foreigners and intruders of the Middle East. Jews are the one and only native group in the Middle East that could return its homeland back. Jews are not occupiers of their own ancestral land. Would you say that the Indians are not the native Americans? Like the Indians are native to North America, the Jews are the natives of the Holy Land. The Jews are the real owners of all Israel (Judea, Samaria, Galilee, the Judean desert and Negev). No one would say that Indians are not the natives of the USA and Canada. But when Jews are demanding their homeland and fighting back the whole world start to scream at us. The Jews never left their homeland. Yes, there was everytime a Jewish present. Yes, we were maybe a minority in our own homeland. Yes, the majority lived outside of our homeland. Yes, we returned back again. Yes, we will not go away anymore. Swallow it. Fact is that Palestine is not Arab. Fact is that Jews are the natives of this part of land like Assyrians, Chaldeans, Copts, Berbers, Arameans and other nations are natives of their lands. Fact is that the Arabs are the natives from the Arab Peninsula. Fact is that the Koran say that Israel belongs to the Jews. But there are Muslim scholars who will tell you that this claim has no basis in the Koran: not only that, but the foundation text of Islam, in fact, recognises the special link between the Jewish people and the Land of Israel. “You will find very clearly,” says Sheikh Dr Muhammad Al-Husseini, “that the traditional commentators from the eighth and ninth century onwards have uniformly interpreted the Koran to say explicitly that Eretz Yisrael has been given by God to the Jewish people as a perpetual covenant. There is no Islamic counterclaim to the Land anywhere in the traditional corpus of commentary.” The Quran states: (5:21) “Moses said to his people: O my people! Remember the bounty of God upon you when He bestowed prophets upon you, and made you kings and gave you that which had not been given to anyone before you amongst the nations. O my people! Enter the Holy Land which God has written for you, and do not turn tail, otherwise you will be losers.” Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari (838-923), who says the remark is “a narrative from God… concerning the saying of Moses… to his community from among the children of Israel and his order to them according to the order of God to him, ordering them to enter the holy land.” Nowhere does the Quran make mention of the Muslims’ claim to the Holy Land. Instead, God reveals in the Quran that The Holy Land is designated for the followers of Moses. Because the Promised Land is theirs according to the Quran, only the followers of Moses may determine where their capital must lie.

"If I'm wrong, show me where and how because I hold my views because of empirical evidence and logic." This makes your argument automatically very good because your whole thought process is governed by structured thinking and at the same time inviting anybody to prove you wrong by actually presenting counter evidence. would be interesting if you noted the rights Palestinian Arabs have in Israel as compared to the lack of citizenship the Palestinian Arabs have in Jordan or Egypt. Arabs in Israel also have linguistic rights and schools in Arabic (with Hebrew as second language) which is more than can be said of linguistic rights of Berber, Copts or Kurds in all Arab countries or Turkey (except by now Kurds maybe in Iraq - but only because the Kurds are now militarily stronger after the first Gulf War). In fact, Arabs in Israel have more linguistic rights than Breton speakers in France where the French Constitutional Court ruled in 2021 that it was "unconstitutional" to have state run Breton medium schools or give any linguistic status to Breton (or Basque or Catalan) within France. And, Israeli Arabs have a democratic right and are in the government of the new Israeli parliament.

It was to highlight that its easy to accept things that go along with preconceived ideas, it's human nature, the more you are in the echo chamber the more it gets ingrained. People who are pro Palestinian accept their narrative for the same reasons, that is they have their facts to support their ideas. In fact the support for pro israel or pro palestine is more to do with emotional connection rather than facts as most Arabs support palestine because of similar culture, heritage, religion etc, like wise most western countries with paler skin, similar biblical heritage, will align with Israel with a few exceptions. Only a few actually research history and the battle of narratives. 1 thing that everyone should agree on is that all innocent lives matter, even if it is your enemies and so you should look at alternatives ways of pursuing your enemies with minimal civilian deaths.
@thomas736511 ай бұрын
You've glossed over an unfortunate fact: the Deir Yassin massacre. By Israeli accounts at the time, 254 Arab civilians were massacred by Israeli forces with their corpses mutilated and paraded through the streets. Of course, current accounts from the soldiers who were their place the number of deaths at around 50, most of which weren't civilians. Regardless of which account is true, there was either an explicit or implicit threat of annihilation to all Arab civilians living in Israeli occupied territory thereafter. In addition, these civilian 'refugees' who attempted to return to their homes were told that as they abandoned their settlements, they no longer had a right to them. Their homes were seized and resettled by Israelis. I don't think it matters that worse happened to Jewish peoples in other Arab countries as the Arabs negatively effected had nothing to do with the injustices perpetrated by others abroad. I actually think that Israel in general is the most morally upstanding country in the middle east, and I won't even try and make some claim that The US or other western country have any moral authority over Israel. I also think in Israel has a right to continue to exist as a nation (anything otherwise would result in massive human rights violations), but in the current political climate I also think it's incredibly annoying where any valid criticisms of Israel is met by Zionists with calls of antisemitism. For example, Israel is clearly an apartheid state. Even disregarding the treatment of non-citizen Palestinians, Israelis have laws that specifically discriminate against Palestinian citizens of Israel, and are not enforced on Jewish citizens. Edit: It seems some believe apartheid can only be committed against citizens and permanent residents of the state of Israel. Enshrined in their constitution, Zionists in the Knesset proclaimed Israel as a nation-state for the Jewish people in 2018, in which "national rights in Israel belong only to the Jewish people" - Chairman Ohana, Speaker of the Knesset. When speaking of actionable legislation, 90% of land in Israel is administered by either the Israel Land Authority, the Jewish National Fund, or the Development Authority. Land between these three organizations cannot be sold but only brought under the purview of another of these organizations. This land can, however, be leased to interested parties by the government. The Jewish National Fund in particular discriminates against Arab citizens of Israel. While legally, the Fund can no longer refuse to sell to Arab citizens, when an Arab citizen does purchase land from the fund an equal portion of land is transferred from the Israeli government to the fund such that they maintain the same amount of land in total that they owned before the purchase was made. As this mechanism does not take place when a Jewish person purchases land from the fund, the government is in essence subsidizing Jewish purchase of land from a nonprofit organization with what should be publicly owned land. A law such as this one would be completely intractable in the United States (or any other western country). Would you support the creation of a white supremacist non profit in the united states where every time a black person purchased land from them, the US must give land equal in value to the organization to what was purchased from them? Regarding the military occupation of the west bank by Israel, do you seriously believe this occupation will ever end? With all the money that Israel has invested into the region, and all of the settlements that they've constructed? The only way such an action could end would be through the forced deportation of all Jewish people in the area (or through gratuitous violence). Additionally, Israel can never officially annex the territory as that would make the Palestinians in the region stateless (an incredibly serious international crime), or these Palestinians must be granted Israeli citizenship, which will obviously never happen as this would give Arab Israelis a massively increased voter base. An Arab majority voter base in Israel would be viewed as an existential threat to their nation. In practice, the west bank is an Israeli colony where none of the Palestinian residents ever will enjoy the rights of citizenship.
