Hello Robert, I remember seeing you on 275 outside of Detroit. I was reading the side of ur rv and tried to remember ur channel name and could not. I do follow a couple of rv channels on here, so about to months ago u popped up in my feed. I told my wife that's the guy I saw on 275. We really enjoy your videos, so tonight we are watching ur Michigan video here and right at the 13:48 mark I noticed me passing u on the highway, I'm driving the red Ford Excursion on the left! How cool I made it on ur video ! We hope to meet u in the future. We are purchasing a Jayco Eagle to be pulled by my Excursion!

I've been to the Ford Museum. You could easily spend several days there, and not see it all. Here's something you probably didn't know about Henry Ford (and a connection my wife has) - Henry Ford was big into recording and preserving folk music. My wife's grandfather worked for Henry Ford, and he was a folk musician. He played music for Mr. Ford and his researchers - and her grandpa had a BIG repertoire of folk songs, which the researchers wrote down (music and words). Mr. Ford offered to pay her grandpa for his time, but he refused. A few months later, there was something like a parade coming down their road. Her grandpa owned a rather decent farm for the area and time, and this "parade" was a brand new Fordson tractor and all the accessories/attachments. It was a gift from Mr. Ford to her Grandpa for helping them preserve all sorts of old, nearly forgotten folk songs. I'd dearly LOVE to get my hands on that tractor... but it's likely gone. (I hope some kin of hers preserved it and as many of the attachments as possible.) I do strongly hope that it stays in the family in some way.

Happy Sunday Robert--Thanks for another great virtual day on the road! Lunch at Zehnder's looks delicious! Don't you just love the serendipity of rolling into a town and finding out there's an interesting event like a car show going on? It's cool to being able to re-visit the Henry Ford Museum through your eyes. I still have my souvenir Wienermobile from the Mold-A-Rama vending machine there. From what I understand, you're on the verge of heading out for your next big trip. Happy trails!

Thank you so much for sharing this . I am 79 years old and when I started to school. We had one teacher, one room, 8 grades and an out house. My mother fixed my lunch in a lunch box. We we moved to South Caroline in 1950 we had bathroom, gone room, one grade and a cafeteria. I was so amazed. I hope you have a wonderful week. And in the winter time we heated with a wood stove in the school.

Just the best. I'll have to add Henry Ford's museum to my list. That was very intriguing following along with you. Very interesting such diverse exhibits. Loved the old Airstream and the presidential limo's to name two. The circular tin house exhibit looks like something Wally Bynum would have come up with.

Hello Traveling Robert! I really enjoyed the video of you crossing one of the most spectacular bridges in the entire country, The Mighty Mac! Frankenmuth was really nice but I really enjoyed the footage of your visit to the Henry Ford Museum. I have been to this HUGE museam during my trip going north through Michigan. It took me a whole day to see everything and I would go again! Robert, I think you should take another trip to Michigan and visit places that you have yet to see such as The Motown Museum, with your music history this Museum is a must see! I really enjoyed my visit to this Museum and I know you will too. Another must see is the SPECTACULAR Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore and it's 400 ft drop down to Lake Michigan! Another is the famous Soo Locks boat tour in Sault St Marie, MI, and you can also view the ships passage through the locks at a viewing platform. The Shipwreck Museum in Whitefish Point is a wonderful museum along Lake Superior, and I would go back to Pictured Rocks and take the boat ride and see the beautiful cliffs and waterfalls dropping over the cliffs, the best way to experience Pictured Rocks. Hopefully next time you will have more time. Great video Robert!

The steam whistle you heard while leaving The Henry Ford is the train that goes around Greenfield Village. Henry Ford was the first to circle a museum/recreation area with a train going around the whole park like that, and the idea was repeated at many other amusement parks built after, like the Disney parks.

@@mark98070 I have done a lot of trucking in Detroit, had some guys leased to me many years ago doing work for NS's Triple Crown Services, seen some great things and sadly a lot of bad things. Doing work for Carter Lumber hauling lumber back into the US from Windsor it was always sad how bad it looked coming into the US. I heard it is getting better though. I was surprised at some of the streets Robert went down, even in a semi I would have been scared. As a farm kid from Ohio, the neatest thing I did was go into the Ford plant, but even it in the 90's was nothing compared to what it once was. Glad to know that Ford is saving or attempting to save the old train station.

The Henry Ford museum looked fantastic! I enjoyed your drive through Detroit, it looks like a town on the comeback. I did notice one interesting thing, one of the streets you were driving on was signed as US 12. Not sure if you are aware of this but the western terminus of US 12 is in Aberdeen, WA which you passed through earlier on this trip! Thanks for another great video. You are giving me lots of good places to visit if I ever find myself in some of the areas you have visited!

The Henry Ford Museum is NOT in Detroit. It is in Dearborn, Michigan which is a big difference.

Wow. Been to all these spots....and we drive near identical trucks, ours being a 2019 V6 2x4 WT, not LT. Do you have a transmission cooler? We don't, just an after market brake controller, though i see a lot of people who recommend the transcooler. We are pulling a Viking 17fq, so similar size and weight to what u pull too.

A very fancy restaurant to serve fried chicken. The town has a lot of similarities with Helen, but this town looks more laid back and genuine.

Hi Robert. I've just started watching your show on KZbin. It's very enjoyable to watch especially during the lockdown. Can you film more meals that you make in your RV?

Thank you for these wonderful videos! 🚐❤️ Everyone tells me if you visit Frankenmuth you have to try the chicken dinner. I ask them if that's on the "Welcome to Frankenmuth" road sign. 😂 The town has a huge Christmas store opened year round. Henry Ford museum is huge. Been there ten years ago. The museum takes a long time to go through. There was no time for my friends and I to see the village and the other area. Need two days there to see all three areas at your leisure. I live near Michigan. 😊
