Great review. Doing some research on Florida's memorial at Gettysburg, it was dedicated exactly 100 years after the battle on July 3, 1963. During the time of the commemoration, the dedication took into account the irony of the fact that they were commemorating the participation of a confederate state fighting on the side of the justification of slavery during the time of the Civil Rights movement. The speech that was given at the commemoration by Congressman Sam Gibbons who was a WWII veteran took into account the past's wrongs, abhorring the current use of terrible police tactics on minorities and the commitment to continuing progress in the future.

I visited with my family Gettysburg one other time when I was younger at the time there was a tower that you could take an elevator to the top and view the battlefield. Hello Traveling Robert! $30.33...OUCH😄😄😄😄! OUCH😄😄😄😄! Robert, I know how you feel about those ridiculous tolls as I paid the same cost from Pittsburgh area to Harrisburg. I wish I had known about RV show as I would have made the trip to meet you. I have been to every corner of PA and have been to Gettysburg, Hershey, and Harper's Ferry all beautiful areas. I especially love Harper's Ferry and I'm sure you walked the pedestrian bridge( part of the Appalachian Trail ) across the Potomac and into Maryland by foot, and when you walk down those steps you are not only in Maryland but you are also at the C&O National Historical Park and can walk along the old canal, SPECTACULAR! Such a beautiful spot with so much history. Great video Robert! Looking forward to seeing the footage at Harper's Ferry.

Howdy Robert. I lived in Leesburg for three years sometime back. It was a small equestrian southern town. Very quiet and very small. Confederate statues (unfortunately discouraged growth) and that kind of thing. It has grown with the wineries moving in, the heightened interest in the civil war and development. But for the most part, still dealing with gentrification. All the housing but no people with money to spend. They just don't know how lucky they are. Still just a place to get gas and stop at 711. You may as well head into the city son.

The interesting things about the Amish are behind closed doors, at home. Better to read about them, but the Amish Farm can be a small window, especially to understand the differences between the Amish and Mennonite sects. For example, Mennonites can use decoration, as long as it’s functional, like curtains. If you’re driving past lots of power lines in the countryside, and you see a property with no lines to it, that’s Amish. Buggies most often on Sundays, because they leave their homes to worship and socialize, and the youngsters court then. The stuff you see in the tourist areas is mostly crafts (Amish and not) and food. Try chicken corn soup, chow chow, and chicken pot pie, which has a thick noodle and gravy, not in a crust as it is elsewhere. Diners are the best places to eat in Lancaster County. Smorgasbords are popular, with Shady Maple being the most famous. If you mention Intercourse, you’ve gotta also mention the nearby towns of Blue Ball, Bird in Hand, and Paradise, haha.

You went to inner city Lancaster, not good! When people talk about Lancaster, they're talking about Lancaster County! Where you were, Miller's, that's where you want to be. Ronks, Blue Ball, Intercourse, Bird In Hand, Paradise, Gap, etc... If you know a few roads, it connects you to the entire county. RTs. 30, 340, 741, 896, 772 are some of the main roads that take you to some really neat sites and tons of things to do, Enjoy😊

Hi Robert, many thanks for sharing yet another superb video here which I thoroughly enjoyed watching as usual.A welcome distraction surely in those hard times with that coronavirus threat still hovering above our heads.Actually we are on a downward curve here for now but the youngsters seem to get tired of those restrictions imposed by the government and so they are beginning to ignore them,(which according to the experts may well lead to a second outbreak here soon if that kind of behaviour continues);Stay safe out there buddy and just keep the ball rolling,ok?Your efforts are greatly appreciated as you know. Best wishes and cordial greetings from William across the Big Pond..
