Travelling Australia - Dampier Peninsula / Smithy's Beach Camp / Pender Bay / Staircase to the moon

We start this episode in Broome where we get to watch the amazing phenomenon Staircase to the moon, before finding Broome finding Broome at this time was a little too busy for us and we made our way up to the Dampier Peninsula. Where we ended up was an absolute paradise and fisherman's heaven (well for us anyway!)

Heading up there next year would you suggest smithies for fishing off the beach or the middle lagoon? Also, how can you book the sites? Love the episodes.

We didn’t fish at middle lagoon, so we can’t really compare! But we can tell you people were catching mackerel off the beach at smithies 😉 it would still be our choice if we were going to go go back (which hopefully we do!) I don’t know that you can book smithies, we just turned up ☺️

Been there a few times and last time I saw a 5m shark swim past the boat, that tinny size is a little concerning, especially with the family being in it.....
