Yes it’s my homeland, and we are flying out next Friday have not been for 7 years. We have visited all over the island. Enjoy my country. You sure will fall in love with it. Try the New Metro that I understand has now arrived in Mauritius. Other place to visit is The beautiful garden of Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden, in Pamplemousses, and Casela Nature Park, your little boy will sure enjoy this. We will be there for 6 weeks from 25th , so will be nice to meet up with you and share ideas with you. Enjoy exploring my island. Chantal & David.

Mauritius is costly for those: 1.Looking an hotel to stay 2.Looking to hire cars with reputed company. 3.Looking to eat in resorts Mauritius is not costly: 1.If u willing to travel by bus and metro. 2.Stay in air bnb places 3.Eat in small snacks and non luxury restaurants like locals do. Enjoy Mauritius.

Hi guys! I have just subscribed and working my way through your Mauritius videos. My wife and I honeymooned on the island back in 2003 and are looking to head back (on a budget) for a month in the next year or two. Have you done a video explaining what your spend actually was for your 5 weeks away? I'd love to know if we can afford it!

Hi, I am a little bit late but since no one replied to your comment I can help. I am a mauritian still living here and I will say on a daily basis if you’re eating local in snacks on average it will be around rs600 per day for two persons (lunch, dinner) considering a meal averaging around rs125. However, breakfast depending on what you want to eat tends to be cheaper but if you’re looking for a good breakfast like French toast, pancakes etc it will definitely be more expensive unless you buy the ingredients and make it at your stay or if you choose a typical breakfast like a dholl puri or a roti it will cost around rs25 per roti/dholl puri. Convert it to your currency see how much it will cost 😅 it depends on places too there are places that are cheaper than others and some more expensive so that you’ll have to keep in mind.
