Many years ago, I worked as a shepherd in rural Ontario. Those of us in that line of work all knew that Ontario lamb is REALLY GOOD ----- but Canadians don't as a rule eat lamb or mutton. They get a false idea of it from eating lamb imported from New Zealand, which is perfectly good in its homeland, but by the time it gets to Canada, after being frozen and sitting in cargo ships for long periods, is not what it's supposed to be. The farms I worked for could only sell small amounts to the better Greek and Persian restaurants. Hopefully, Canadian taste is starting to change, and customers should insist on getting fresh Canadian product.

@@TravellingFoodie yes, but as someone who's lived in Texas seeking true Mexican food (tex mex is good too but have to seek out true Mexican), it was beyond steam from the carry over and we don't live that far away. It was definitely overcooked rice by a long shot. Almost like rice from New Orleans where it's super wet dining at the restaurant. I've never had that experience with rice outside of New Orleans until we went that one time to Sinai. I think maybe cause it was close to closing that they gave us rice that they should not have cause it was likely sitting in the pot too long. They should've made a smaller new batch of rice if it was that far gone instead of ruining first impression (we told them we're trying it out first time). It is what it is. We'll try once more
