Taumaranui always used to be a popular stop for me on the drive between Wellington and Auckland. We spent a night at the campground in a cabin with our Huskies many years ago. So much quieter that SH1. Now in our caravan it gets a bit tight for space on a wet day with the 2 of us, and the 2 dogs inside.

Thank you for making and posting the video, Karen. It was actually quite helpfull to hear the feedback from you both on the bed.....I am in the planning phase to live permanently in a caravan (Covid has put a temporary hold on it. I am quite tall and my pupper shares my bed 🙂 - he is just a tiny daschund but he likes to sleep with his back footies pushing against me - so he basically takes up the space of another person 😁. I think an island bed is the way to go. The layout where the bed is as the back of the caravan. Easier access to change fitted sheets and it seems in general the beds in that layout are also slightly longer. 🙂
