What an incredible shop. I love how green and clearly very fresh their vegetables look and that rich red water melon just made me want to drink something refreshing. I can honestly say I never get such variety and range of products anywhere in London even in the most expensive and exclusive shops such as Harrods and Whole Food Market. These shops are ultra-expensive in London but they don't offer the quality and range shown in this video. I wish there was a store like this in London.

An incredible supermarket! I always find it nice to see that there are still the butchery and fish counters for the fresh produce. I think now that by far the majority of supermarkets in the UK have closed them, simply to cut costs.

I really love Giperbola, because I can buy products from other countries there. I'm planning to go to Yekaterinburg in the end of December for buying Christmas sweets and chocolate from other countries and hand-made Christmas toys in Giperbola exactly.

It's nice that the cashier workers are able to work and be seated down. I don't understand why most places require that job to be standing up. You can do the job either way but sitting down will not be as physically taxing to the body.

A little remark, this is one of the most expensive and top quality supermarkets located in the city downtown, for pretty wealthy people, so it's not common. The more common and good supermarkets are Lenta, Perekrestok, they are nice too.

Actually, all regions of Russia are well supplied with goods, foods and services. And the state and local governments spend lots of money on infrastructure investments. This store is really well supplied.

New Zealand supermarkets are so bad and low standard compared to this. One of the supermarkets was even on TV because they had an issue with rats in their butchery department. Yesterday I saw flies in their 'pantry' section where you are supposed to get things like nuts, dates, protein etc... by weight.

I can't belive how much there is in this store. You have shown us several stores with this enormous variety of everything edible. I am curious about what these stores do with products, for example fresh bread,cakes,fresh fruits and vegetables, that aren't sold.

There is a whole science of how to order the right amount of goods to a store. This is usually done by real professionals. If you come to such a store at night, you will see almost empty shelves. And still, some of the goods have to be sold the next day at a reduced price. Unsold goods with an expired shelf life are disposed of.

However, even in that small market the prices are still high, I saw 1 kg of peaches at 300 rubles per kg. Where I live in Italy peaches are now €2.00 / 2.50 per kg. I'm not an economics expert but I believe that salaries in Russia are lower than in Italy. Thank you for your kind reply.

These types of stores are certainly higher end. The basic food items are still very reasonable though. In Russia, you have a lot of different levels of stores to shop in, where you can save money on your everyday shopping.
