@TravellingwithRussell Russell, can someone please remove the NewAlbionTV bot from here? I love Russia, have been there many times and have a few Russian friends. However, his commentary on this channel is ranging from subjective and misleading to plain disinformation, particularly where it comes to London/UK. Hi Russ, thank you. The first thing you could vertically shop in any supermarket in the world today not knowing the language, and you'd still understand the product. Interesting the allocation for beer and alcohol was greater than pet food. In Australia, we love our pets, so literally 2 long aisles usually. One small but significant point several times you stopped to point out your favour items you obviously buy regularly, of concern these were chocolate biscuits, fizzy orange, cakes and other sweets, not alot of time looking at vegetables beans and other healthy items. As responsible subscribers and fans, it's important we point out that these shopping centres are getting larger as your size. Training in a month for Dockers will commence soon. Perhaps we could sign you up to lose the kilos. Great post.

The types of meats and sausage on display in this store you'd only find in London in expensive "delicatessen" or imported sections and you'd pay through the roof for 50g or 80g pack of it. This suburban Russian shop looks more luxurious than most central London stores I force myself to visit. Such selections of luxury cheeses you'd only find in ultra-expensive Wholefood Store in London. It is also important to note that this chain is a typical affordable type of supermarket where everyday shopping can be done for anyone on any budget. In the UK even very expensive premium brand stores such as Waitrose often fail to provide adequate range and quality. I often find empty shelves in my local Waitrose store - especially when it comes to fresh produce. Selections of quality salami are simply not there. Prices such as "under 1 dollar" do not exist in Waitrose or even in the cheapest UK stores.

@TravellingwithRussell most sodas have a lot of sugar, an ingredient that adds more cost of the beverage. I suspect Russian sodas use cane sugar, in the US we sometimes but Mexican Coke because cane sugar is more natural than granulated sugar or corn syrup. Most of the new stores are not own by Magnit, it is a franchise scheme, so somebody with a lot of money contact Magnit and nit offers different options: You have a building/store and want a Magnit, You have nothing and you want a Magnit, anyway Magnit will do the job of finding a place for a new Magnit if that is what you want, they will do the design, they will give (sell/lease) the needed mandatory inventory, they will educate directors/managers/staff for you, they will all if you will pay, and then you are a owner of a Magnit shop. They even come and dismantle your shop if it is not going well and/or your contract is expiring or you fail to pay, two days and they have been taking all non sold goods and inventory out. So Magnit's expansion is mostly done for other peoples money, same with many other businesses. New Magnit shops are divided into two categories, brand spanking new everything and good design with lots of space, and the discount version with used inventory and all jammed into too little space.
