You should also do a video on the civil war. Educate your audience of how the Confederates, the southern Democrats, fought to keep slavery. The Union, the Republicans went to war to free the slaves. Maryland should have been on this list. My research has 😢shown some of the harsh and severe conditions. These ppl were insane maniacs or either criminals. The live stories of Josiah Henson, Frederick Douglass, and Harriet Tubman and other slave diaries was insight on the craziness to expect. The Methodist and Quakers from England sacrificed a great deal to help Maryland blacks. We were never on the list for Reconstruction, but Faith saved us. The solution serve, serve, serve. Silence is not always golden. Missionary work in America is important.

I live In Mississippi and can confirm it's pretty bad in Jackson. Jackson would be a great city to visit as the culture and arts are booming but is unfortunately brought down by its lack of infrastructure and neglect for its citizens. I live in a suburb 20 miles north and it is much much nicer. Unfournately, the mayor is know to bear prejudice towards black people.

I grew up and still live in Utah. To include it on the list of least racist is a laugh. It is not blatant in your face racism like in the deep South but rather subtle like being ignored to be served at an eatery, whispers behind your back, ignoring you while you wait in line for help and instead ask the person behind you if they need help and getting pulled over by the police for " suspicious " yet find no crime to charge you with.

I disagree with the inclusion of Hawaii over Mississippi, Arkansas, and Louisiana. You forgot Florida, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Missouri, Indiana, and Idaho. These states are all worse than Hawaii and Alaska in terms of racism, in my humble opinion. I lived in Hawaii and there are problems but more economically based. Hawaiians with money can buy anything. Not so in the Southern states of America. I have lived in Louisiana and been denied entrance to the emergency room after being hit by a car in New Orleans. You do not forget things like that. But I do like you content and appreciate your rationale. We just disagree. I noticed that where there are natural resources the local population seldom benefits from the discoveries. South Africa, the Congo, Iran, Valenzuela, Iraq, etc. Why?

The Carolina’s and Alabama have the most HBCU’s in America. The American South is where more blacks own businesses, houses, and land. By 1987, Reverse Migration moved black ppl out of the North to South for housing, land, and jobs. The Gullah’s of South Carolina have owned land since before snd after slavery days. This is why the South should be protected. In 2023, the American South has given homeownership to Asians, Hispanics, Native New Yorkers, Pennsylvanians, New Jersey natives and plenty of Californians I met in the Carolina’s. Prejudice and racism is a result of ppl more than places. Jim Crow North exist as well as the Jim Crow South. Quakers and Christians were the only ppl who really helped blacks the most. We realized we are a hated ppl by All nations, but we are not the only ones. If Fredrick Douglass focused on slavery and his haters, he would never had made it to freedom.

The side eyes, excessive locking of car doors, whenever I pass a non black women with kids, they always say “stay close to mommy”. I have even experimented with different outfits and it doesn’t make a difference. They key not feeling alienated out here, is to spend your time around people of color.

What kinda bothers me is that especially with Southcarolina, that it is only said that blacks get more often in traouble with the law enforcement. But it makes it appear that it is only because of arbitrariness or just people disliking them. I am pretty sure that is not how this works. Same with imminent domain laws. We have Somalia in me and my sister Dori and are adult children who are biracial adults and thank God all have jobs and careers and finished kindergarten to 12th grade in highschool and college classes and graduate schools. Two of my adult children are police officers one in north Dakota and other younger son Jason is works at the Brooklyn Park, police 🚓🚨😵‍💫🤬😡😵‍💫😤🤑💰🤑🚨 officer who is biracial and I keep in touch with there Dad's.
