Actually, drones were prohibited from being flown over Port Canaveral for quite some time. The law that went into effect 7/1/2023 does include flying over all ports in the state of Florida. Also, drones were prohibited from MSC cruises as well for a few years now. Most cruise lines do not allow drones. Thank you for the information and continuing to spread the message on drone safety and rules to keep the hobby safe from being banned all together.

I sailed on the Seaside back in May and I really enjoyed it! It was right after the failed inspections and the crew was working really hard to keep things clean in my opinion

yeah that’s abit harsh! the workers are usually from different countries and they work extremely hard most likely for low wages. anytime you have thousands of people on a ship you just cannot expect it to be 100% bacteria free! you’ll find that right at your local gym with just a handful of cub members.

Hi Travel Spree! We went on MSC Seaside in 2019, beautiful ship but the food was not good back then. So glad that they have apparently gotten their act together since that recent bad rating and the food looks much improved! Thanks for sharing your experience guys. 👍🏼

I was booked on it one or two sailings after the health inspection. So we were worried. But we figured heads rolled and they were going to be extra clean especially since it was soon after the inspection. Thankfully we didn’t have any issues and everything we could see was super clean. I was on for 11 days. The crew treated me like royalty. It seemed like everyone knew me by the end.

We were on that ship the week immediately after that inspection, and the glass was shattered then too. They were still 'figuring' things out when I was on the ship for a week so the first half they ran out of a TON of food (I'm guessing because it was thrown out), the last 2 days were better; they actually had lettuce at the salad bar and finally some fresh (non-canned) veggies. I'm interested to see how your trip goes so we know if ours was a random dud and not the status quo lol

Great review. Love your awesome dress? Thank you for sharing the CDC information. We cruised a back to back on that same ship in June. We were aware of the score ( I have a certificate in Food safety and sanitizing). I felt 100% comfortable going on the ship at that time. Because the failure was still fresh in their minds and it was a very high priority. The same thing happened when the local health department inspects a restaurant.

We currently are staying over at the marina across from the Seaside in Port C, and I lol'd when you commented how loud the sailaway party was. We can hear it so loudly at the marina, like perfect clarity. None of the other ships play their music that loud it seems.

I've mixed ketchup and mayo together in a pinch, but the cat's meow is mixing BBQ sauce and mayo, be that Sweet Baby Ray's or whatever floats your canoe!

Looks like if you fly or drive and have travel snacks, you need to take them on board to eat in case you miss the buffet. I always have travel snacks. The buffet is open on most ships until time to make sure that everybody does the muster then it closes and reopens after the muster count. Glad that you got something to eat. Enjoy the cruise.

Nice! :) We sailed on the Seaside on the cruise immediately after they got that low inspection score, and, quite honestly, we also didn't see anything dirty enough for us to have any problems sailing on the Seaside in the future. Crew was very attentive and kept things clean. And I will have to agree with Laura that we enjoyed the Seaside more then we did the Meraviglia..We have enjoyed our MSC cruises and are looking forward to sailing on the Seashore in May!

I was on the MSC Seaview that is the sister ship to this ship. Muster drill was traditional in 2019, and buffet was open the whole time. On the MSC World Europa this year we just watched the video in our room and then went and scanned our cards at the muster station with no issue at all. The buffet and a number of different food outlets were open the whole time. Maybe it’s different here in Europe?!?

I always have a lot of medications and things for my allergies next to my bed, and the bedside tables on MSC and Virgin appear to be so small. Can you tell me where you got the hanging bag? My husband and I went on the M.S.C. Seaside for our honeymoon in June and the staff was always cleaning. They were friendly and we had a blast. I would recommend people to get a cabin with a patio. We woke up to the island view and it was awesome. *** Too,many people in the pools. I didn't go,but my husband said that they were crowded and they looked dirty. We enjoyed the hot tub. We didn't enjoy the restaurant food,so we went to the buffets where there was always a variety of foods. This was our first ever cruise so we didn't have anything else to compare it to.

You made FRY SAUCE 😊 So it's a thing in Utah actually. Comes in little packets like nugget sauces at McDonald's and you can buy it in the grocery store. I found some in my tiny town local grocer in Texas, and bought it just to take a pic and send it to my kids who still live in UT. Fry sauce... it's real lol. Mayo and ketchup for the win.
