What sheer delight to see the transformation, I remember the previous vlog and I was in awe of the vision. However I am now simply stunned at the subtle elegance and restraint in the execution of the renovation, the mirrored cube and inside the bathroom is beyond any expectation. Oh Stephanie, My boyfriend would have ordered the same sort of breakfast! LOL Seriously though, I teared up hearing about the students who would peer through the windows and are now invited to come share this place and to remember how it was when they were there before. Nothing built is anything except how it belongs to the people who have touched it. LOVE this so much !!

Wow! I remember you visiting this place when it was being built and was wondering if they were able to finish it with the difficulties of COVID. What a treat to see it finished! The rooms and restaurant looked sublime. I especially loved the floating library and the concept of inviting old students back! They were celebrating it’s history in every way.

What a wonderful restoration. It’s brilliant how they configured the cubes in the guest rooms. I’ve seen these in some convertible spaces to make the most of smaller spaces. The cube and headboards use the same concept as high priced office components where the wiring is threaded and hardwired in one spot. I love that they saw this beautiful structure and considered a different way to update it without messing up beautiful original details. I think some of this would work nicely in Oliver’s home in Spain. His home will benefit from this visit. I assume the owners spent a fortune updating this jewel of a hotel.

I’ve absolutely love watching these travel vlogs. In this as the playing cards were pointed out I suddenly recollected a childhood card game we played in my home. The cards had the names and faces of great authors upon them and was called, Authors. Now I’m wondering if it still exists as I remember it.

This palace hotel renovation took my breath away. The vision in 2019 till the end result is just incredible. The ceilings, the decor, the genius electrical design and the mirrored cube were magnificent. Loved this tour and elegance of this place. ❤

Great vlog and great palace! I finally put my feet up and had a delicious bite watching whilst we have an entire sold out house of guests at ARIA. Tonight we have a famous author celebrating a relation's birthday, and just a couple weeks ago we had a royal visit! The Viscount Lord Kelburn, Esq of Scotland, David Boyle and his sweet girlfriend Marina. I asked how they found us, and he said they saw the pictures and knew they had to come here. He said ARIA is immaculately maintained. They stayed in Room 2, and we had lovely conversations about the huge historic houses, his of course being a graffiti mural painted Castle in Ayrshire where his family has lived for 850 years. Our house is cool, but David one upped me with the Castle! xo

This palace is exquisite with lots of clever ideas to keep the integrity of the building (electrics, the bathrooms). Love the simplicity and elegance of the curtains. The outdoor space is stunning! The only thing that clashes is the red carpet in the stairs, the colours doesn't work at all with the faux marble walls.

What a spectacular restoration they've undertaken! The building is sensational! This ingenious bathroom in a cube to keep the room proportions yet add a bathroom - as you also mentioned in the last vlog from this hotel, may explain a similar room-in-a-room at the Maison De Maitre of @theexpatbutchers.
