Hi folks, I always love your honest and I find true also reviews. I have always really liked Carnivals food. I do admit, the portions look a lot smaller. Great to see and hear you both.

Thank you very much George! 😊 Yeah some of those portions are interesting- seems like they only have one size of pasta for both appetizer and main. So seems to us it's best to just order those as an appetizer.

the dessert round on lobster night was so funny. Joanne takes her deserts seriously! my critique for the menu is that there were a lot of words and ingredients that are not farmilar to most people. They need some sort of legend or key on the side to explain some of the foreign words or unusual ingredients. Thank you so much for another great video review. You both are just so lovely. :)

It's our pleasure- thank you very much for the comment! 😊 Lol yeah it's always nice to have a nice crème brûlée, so a bit of a bummer there but no biggie 😁 Agree with you about the name of some of the dishes- I think Carnival thought it would seem more fancy but we found ourselves having to figure out what sort of protein is it.

It’s with you, I always love the French onion soup and tiramisu. That Creme brûlée was so disappointing looking 😢. I You make me reconsider trying some new things on the menu! The bronzed fish looks very nice!

Thank you very much! 😊 The main dining rooms on any one Carnival ship have the same menu, though there could be a few regional specialties/different dishes here and there vs another Carnival ship.

Great video. I think that the strength of the menu is its great variety at a time when many lines are cutting back substantially. There are some really well thought out dishes. I thought that some of the presentation on the salads and soup were just plain sloppy. I am convinced that we will be eating MOST of our dinners in the MDR as they have some great selections. By the way, how was the service? Do you miss the tablecloths?

Thanks JL! 😊 Yeah the number of choices are impressive, especially considering the vegan & gluten-free menus too. Service was good overall, but yeah anytime dining isn't going to be as good as the set dining in terms of service, but we still prefer the flexibility and eating a little earlier. We were surprised by the lack of tablecloth from our Carnival cruise a couple years ago, but used to it now 😁

Some entrees are a little short on taste and ingredients but over all looks and taste fantastic. Next time in Vancouver I can be your tour guide.

We were on the carnival Glory on sept 6 to the 9 of sept. We got the cruise on a promotion. We usually cruise on celebrity.The food in the platinum dinning room was very good buy the buffet was very sub standard. I can tell it was a budget cruise. It’s a very unusual ship.they have two pool one forward and one aft.the issue is that there is only one towel station on the aft of the ship. That means if I go to the forward pool ,we have walk back to the aft pool to exchange our towels. It was a ok cruise for what it is. Service is good,clean ship, the formal dining is good. Not a bad ship just an odd lay out and poor design.

I think that sounds like what we'd expect when we go on a Carnival cruise as well, though we'd expect more on their newest ships. Buffets were so so but yeah MDR was pretty good. But Carnival should do better and have one extra towel station in that situation. Thanks for sharing your experience from the Glory!

Youre right on few of those. But we were on the Celebration for 7 days week before last, and that leg of lamb was very low quality. Along with the prime rib too. Most everything else was good-pretty good. Only thing great on the ship was guys burgers.

Fifty years ago Indiana UNiversity required either French or German for a chemistry graduate to leave the bldg. The foreign words on the menu would not be foreign if we were like Europeans who speak 2 or even 3 languages.

Loved her black dress with her hair down. Other outfits..on point. Now the food. I was screaming...not the frog legs please, but she tasted them!!! Oh no. The desserts were not the prettiest, and were not the tastiest from her expressions. I am so sorry. I personally didn't think the food looked all that appealing. Looks like they are cutting the food budget, and I bet a lot of people go on cruises anticipating the food to be spectacular. But, oh those frog legs!!. 🐸 😢. Simply not in my lifetime, but good job guys. Be safe.

I’d never eat frog legs, either. Never know where they were hopping. Probably never wore shoes. And it’s sad to see the poor frogs rolling themselves around the floor in little carts after losing their legs.

Lol yeah frog legs aren't that common, so that was nice (or not nice for some) that Carnival had it. Gotta wonder what happened to the rest of the frogs as well 🤔

Frog legs are VERY good! They are quite a delicacy now days, so it is special to have them!everyone should try frog legs and alligator bites at least once in life! If you like calamari, shrimp, cat fish, and stuffed mushrooms, you would like frog legs and gator bites!
